Sunset geeking out over meeting the backstage crew is actually really heartwarming. There's dozens of people behind the scenes of events like this that get up early and go to bed late, spending their entire day setting stuff up for the performers and cleaning up after the crowds, and few of the festival goers will ever show them any appreciation or acknowledgement. If I were one of them (and I have been), that would have made my day.

I heard "I'm on a yacht" song here for the first time. I don't know how it slipped through my fingers, but oh well. And I actually like it. EG songs are not like that at all, so I think that was a cool surprise for the fandom. I can totally see why people hate it though. The lyrics is very cheesy and, like Rarity says, a bit samey-samey, just like Find The Magic. But I liked that song too.

But Run to Break Free is special for me cuz I was the biggest fan of Rainbow when I was a kid (she was my childhood obsession and I still am very fond of her, despite her not having much of a character in the later seasons. I literally had a bday party themed for MLP and Rainbow specifically 😅)

Yeah, I thought the Yacht song was pretty good too, not the best, but still pretty fun, especially with all the accompanying visuals, from all the secondary and minor characters being there to the looks the girls were giving. The writers knew what they were doing with some of those poses and looks the Humane 7 were doing, just like with Get To The Other Side with Rarity the writers knew what they were doing, none of this was by accident. 7:09: Also, important information this short: Camping Must Haves, is basically a shipping short between Rarity and Applejack, because the writers confirmed that either during or after Roller Coaster of Friendship Rarity and Applejack have started dating. It was pretty obvious during that Special, given the looks they were giving, how they were talking when they were making up, the blushing, the hug, the eyes they gave each other during the ending song, again, none of this was by accident. So now, just like with Lyra and Bon Bon, or Derpy and Bulk, or those two boys in the background whose names I forget, they like to squeeze in as many shipping moments between these two as possible, whether it being in a short focusing on them like this one, or with background scenes, like in many of the Festival shorts or Sunset's Backstage Pass itself where we can clearly see them holding hands a lot and smiling. So RariJack is canon to the Equrestria Girls universe the fans and writers agree on that.

Oh well, here are my highlights for these shorts: 0:25-0:37 I thought it must've been something like that. It's noticeable how shorts 14-21 are missing. Also, auto-tuned Fluttershy. 1:22-1:31 Pinkie Pie rap. 1:26-1:31 Floaty-woatys. 1:31-1:48 The chorus is the best part. Applegeek is really loving it - unlike other people, apparently. 1:42-1:46 Hi Trixie, Octavia, Lyra and Derpy. 1:48-1:57 AJ always has the worst luck on boats. First she was seasick and now she's sunburnt. Also, Applegeek's reaction. 1:55-1:58 Hi Bulk Biceps, Vinyl Scratch, Sandalwood and Microchips. 1:59-2:01 That dancing. 2:03-2:12 Instead of eating a lobster, Fluttershy adopts it as a pet. Also, those boys look a little too happy to see each other. 4:58-5:01 That face. 5:12-5:35 That's what I'm talking about; Dash LOVES her super speed. 5:20-5:29 Dash brings out her wings and leaps over a truck. 5:32-5:35 That face. 5:41-5:50 Hi Fleur. 5:51-6:32 Dash notices several incidents about to happen. She fixes them all, quick as lightning. 6:05-6:08 Dash gets a taste of the candy floss. 6:09-6:12 I agree, Applegeek. 6:21-6:27 Dash pushes Pinkie Pie upright, returns a dog to its owner, and scoops up Fluttershy's coffee - although she gives the cup to Twilight. 6:35-6:42 That's an awesome ending: a sonic rainboom jump! Also, Applegeek's reaction. 10:12-10:19 The "Flora/Fauna" filter adds flowers and critters. 10:19-10:29 The "band" filter adds instruments, music and a live crowd. How to Backstage 11:45-11:50 It's another 'how to' video, only with Sunset Shimmer using Twilight's camera drone. 11:50-11:58 "Your MVP with a BTS look at VIP life." Some people might mistake this short for Sunset's Backstage Pass. Also, that face. Both songs were incredible, Camping Must Haves and Festival Filters were funny, and How to Backstage was okay. I Can totally understand why people don’t like I’m on a yacht. Personally I enjoyed it. But a lot people don’t i think they see the entire video as “fan service” which on it’s own is harmless but it’s also pretty harmful considering what people think when they hear the words “fan service”. Using that definition or what people believe to be the definition is a bad example to the kids watching this. While yes equestria girls is aimed at a little bit higher aged audience the original audience is still going to watch. Friendship is magic would never get away with rarity saying the word naked or them in swim suits. Ponies wearing clothes on it’s own is a little weird. I might not be the cleanest hammer in the tool shed but i can understand why this wasn’t as enjoyable to a lot of people. Or i might just have a dirty mind and there’s a completely different reason.
