From what I can tell is that wagon was obviously her home, it holds (probably) years worth of memories of her and starlight just gave it away like it was nothing, without even talking to her about it. It made sense for Trixie to be mad at starlight.

Yes. This. It'd be like if Twilight used her princess status to just switch land ownership between the Pears and the Apples. They're comparable properties, but it's more than that (fruit bias aside). Each place has memories and importance and it wasn't decided upon by the appropriate parties.

i love this episode. these two always make a great team. a moment that i really enjoyed was when Trixie apologized to Starlight the first night of their trip, really shows she is trying to be a better pony. this song is now my new favorite, kinda reminds me of Moving Right Along from the Muppet Movie. as for why Trixie didnt want to give up her wagon, it could be that after she lost the first one she worked really hard to get this one, heck its even designed better than her first one, she may have put more heart and soul into it. this was a Great And Powerful reaction RarityDash, please keep up the awesome work

Being that I was a nineties kid, I didn't grow up with the Bing Crosby/Bob Hope Road To movies. However, I was a huge fan of Family Guy when the show first started back in '99. So, seeing this whole MLP homage to one of the greatest comedy duos of cinema history, there is sadly just one thing that comes to the mind of this young millennial. I sometimes think the writers forgot that the wagon that she would have a sentimental attachment to was destroyed in season 1 along with all her possessions and that she got this one around season 4. Cause they make it sound like she has had this one since she started performing.

It and all her possessions were destroyed by the Ursa Minor when she was first introduced. And she still hadn't bought a new wagon by her second appearace because she was busy working on the Rock Farm earning money to buy a new one and I guess the Alicorn Amulet.

@@titanhades4331 It could be that she rebuilt the wagon and salvaged what she could from what was left (however its been a while since I have seen the episode so Im going by the assumption that it was destroyed). Or brought a identical wagon (of similar design) and modified it to resemble the look of the original. But, It could be they forgot and just went with the idea that its the same wagon.

That saddle Arabian pony's last words saying "I'm not sure saddle Arabia is ready for this", while gesturing towards Trixie's wagon, kind of implies he only wanted to trade his BRAND NEW wagon to Trixie as hers would not be good enough for saddle Arabia, and when Starlight traded the wagon he even gave them a pair of robes witch further supports his ulterior motives.

This was a very good episode. The pacing and writing was good and the song that Trixie and Starlight shared was great. It’s a darn shame that we never made it to Saddle Arabia(due to the MLP staff lacking time to work on designs for the characters and the place itself) because we a long overdue to explore the place. But I digress, I enjoyed this episode overall.

I'll say this much: Starlight really screwed up this time by trading away Trixie's wagon, even if she meant well. But, it does help kill the idea that the writers are "dumbing down" other characters by using their still-existing flaws in Season 8 for conflict, and to make Starlight "look good", now that it was HER turn to show one of her own flaws, and screw-up. Yep, even Starlight's not immune to being hit with the fabled " idiot stick" this season lol

I understand the view of the ship, but I never really fell for it. Their changing attitudes and way of working together, at least to me, looks more like real close friends rather than a couple. Things like Lyra and Bon Bon in Slice of Life and other episodes are more obvious ships, but Starlight and Trixie fits closer to Vinyl and Octavia's portrayal in that same episode. They are on a level of understanding each other. They work well together performers and understand each other's pasts which help them relate. However, if you took away just that, there seems to be no other real connection to even suggest a ship. That's just me though.

I liked this episode. Reminded me of Bob Hope and Bing Crosby in "Road to Predition". I like Trixie in thus episode - there was a bit more depth. That's what I liked about her in "All Bottled Up". I just get this feeling of joy when she says, "Teacup!". Anyway, overall, the main problem I have is the Saddle Arabian - why is he so interested in Trixie's wagon? Other than that, I really liked this episode.

I wonder why is Trixie insisting on the wagon? Maybe it's a family heritage? Speaking of family I was hoping Trixie will reunite with her daddy Jackpot from Grannies Gone Wild. Speaking of which I saw the pony versions of Rick and Morty in that episode. Since they are from Adult Swim how about an episode where Huey and Riley from The Boondocks would appear as ponies and they would use foul language towards other ponies? I think Twilight would have long talk with them, and explain that it's not right to curse.
