Just beat the guy. I found that if you are sliding, he'll land not on top, but near you, then you just jump over the wave. It was the last attack I learnt to dodge.

Malenia, Nameless King, Minos Prime, The Reaper, so many bosses like this. Bosses who are almost impossible when you first fight them 100% blind, but after losing around a 100-or-so times, you subconsciously develop Ultra Instinct just for them, so that the next time you fight them, you beat them without a sweat. Minos Prime is now the only reason why I play ULTRAKILL. Everything after him, Gabby included, is just too easy. I just start the game up whenever I feel like beating his ass lmao

So the lore behind minos is that he was the king of the lust layer which is where you fight his corpse, he realized why should we punish people for loving others, or what they do, and decided to turn the lust layer into a sprawling metropolis mores so a paradise instead of a mechanical hell scape and god took this as a sign of defiance and had his strongest angel being gabriel kill him and seal his soul away inside the flesh prison.

God went missing when he became king of lust and heaven was in ruin when he ruled lust. It was only after the angels got their shit together that they saw what Minos was doing and thought it was against God's will. Then they sent the angels and we know how that went down.

Also, his soul manifestation was ridiculously strong. He had a massive husk just to contain his soul. Soul manifestation is dependent on how well you were remembered in you past life. In Minos’s case, probably after his death, the people that saw Gabriel kill and contain Minos remembered him. Once you kill the Flesh Prison, the soul fragment that’s been suppressed, is suddenly and violently released all at once, in such a way that the soul’s husk is unable to withstand it. In other words, once a Prime Soul manifests, it doesn’t require a husk in order for it to manifest.
