You’re wearing your Daybreaker shirt, how appropriate! This flashback episode was just...wow in my opinion. The main Nightmare truly is a despicable entity. Seeing her plague Celestia like this was enough to make me despise her more than ever. But, this is what a good villain is supposed to be and I appreciate that. I can’t help but wonder if there is a connection with the passing of Shining Armor and the Nightmare’s. It’s just a theory of course but, what if they were the cause of his demise? I suppose we’ll have to find out if this is true. So much heartbreak occurred in this episode.😢 I hope Twilight will find a way to resolve the conflict ahead, now that she wound up in her own time period again. I can only imagine what Nightmare Star has done to Equestria by now.

As for what I suspect will happen next episode, Twilight will have to choose between her Loyalty to the others Princesses and Galaxy or keeping her Alicornhood. And, should she choose them, Loyalty will be restored and Magic right after. The Nightmare really didn't think this through as well as it gives itself credit. Especially since DISCORD is still there. If Tia and Luna together couldn't stop him, what chance does IT have? ... though the wrecked castle does suggest Nightmare somehow got around him. I mean, he's clearly taken a liking to Galaxy and I highly doubt he'd just ignore somepony taking her horn and likely shoving her in a dungeon, meaning he'd have confronted the Nightmare about it. HOW would she get out of that?

I think alicorns come about from ponies that have huge magical talent. Flight is a sort of magic in canon. I think you can use more at once if you have both wings and a horn, but first you must already posses that level of magic. In showing or realising your full potential you can transform into an alicorn. Taking away their wings and horn is just changing the physical, so wouldn’t be hard. The magic is still there, in the pony, but can’t be used. In this way, Celestial didn’t create them directly, but may have encouraged them to become alicorns, and could take away their wings and horns.

I had no idea this episode had come out until you posted this reaction yesterday, so thanks for that. I was gonna watch this reaction yesterday too but after watching the episode I just felt too sad and just ugh full of emotions I guess lol to watch the episode again right away, but I'm here how and pretty interested to see what you think of this episode. I haven't re-watched any of the episodes of the series in a while expect a little of episode 6, but I think this one is really really well made and is probably one of my favorite episodes.
