so, one critique, it's okay to pause to react, but when you play again, you should go back a couple of seconds, just so you give yourself a chance to reorient yourself to what's being said

Thank you for reacting to Ren . you earned a thumbs up for doing so. If you react to more of Ren, you will earn another subscriber. A suggestion, when you pause to talk, (which I enjoy hearing your opinions), please go back a few seconds, as to not miss what is being done in the performance. Just so information for you. This was done in one take live. Ren is from Wales and performs several different styles of music. He started out busking on the street with his band The Big Push. He now lives in Canada where is treatment is ongoing. You talked about being positive. When asked how I am by random people throughout my day, my response is always "Motivated, Dedicated, Loving Life, Living Large, Everyday, Allday." Have a Great day.

The most underrated rated Artist is Tom Macdonald. Fully independent charts number 1 or 2 on billboard every release during the week he releases. Has over 100 videos of music across multiple genres. Rock/Rap, Folk, Rap, Pop, Punk. Music that makes you think, political music that usually points out the hypocrisy through satire. Mental health, just Fun crazy songs. Stories of his life and overcoming. Tributes to the Vets. Americana. Nova’s Videos are done so well that you think you’re looking at a $100,000 video shoot vs something she did for $2000. The most underrated team in music today in my opinion. Then I put REN right after that. And only second because he doesn’t have as much material that is straight REN work yet but he’s getting there. Now he has tons of great music with the big push, and chinchilla, and colabs and street performances but he’s just getting started really becoming a superstar. But just like Tom I have full faith and confidence that REN is well on his way!

the most underrated artist that I'm familiar with is Chinchilla. Ren's underrated, too...but his popularity online has risen drastically since he released this video. His duets with Chinchilla are always incredible, but her solo stuff is AMAZING...especially the live performances...I think "Fingers (Live)" is my favorite...but "1:5 (Live)" is also great. I love "Little Girl Gone", too, but prefer the official music video version, just because I love the video. Same goes for "Cut You Off". She produces everything herself, but her music videos are insanely well made. And her costumes?!?! She makes a lot of them herself, and they're absolutely InSaNe in the best possible way. Like Ren, her music is full of raw emotion, and it's so relatable. She's not afraid to sing about things most artists won't, and her live performances highlight her incredible ability to lose herself in whatever character she's portraying. Like Ren, she's a natural storyteller, and watching her perform her stories has proven highly addictive for me. Her talent is on par with Ren's, which is clear in the duets they've done...but her solo work illustrates how unique her music is. If I were trying to describe Ren OR Chinchilla to someone, I wouldn't be able to say what genre of music either of them write. No genre?? ALL genres?? Some new genre that doesn't have a name yet??? I have no clue. I know Ren considers his music "bardcore", which I guess fits as well as any label can...but not 100%. Chinchilla probably places her music under the general "pop" label...but that's not really right. Her music can be pretty catchy and sometimes have a bit of a pop feel...but it's far too unique, far too meaningful, and far too revolutionary to be labeled "pop". Ren and Chinchilla have so much in common, while their music is so very different. Yet they can come together and sing a duet that seems to fit both of them extremely well. They are truly leading a revolution in music, and it's actually really exciting to watch and even take part in by sharing them with as many people as I can. Most people discover Chinchilla thru her most popular duet with Ren, "Chalk Outlines", which is incredible...but "How to Be Me (Live)" is just as good, if not better. As for her solo stuff...I recommend starting with "Fingers (Live for HungerTV)", because it shows off so many of her unique gifts. It's not like anything I've ever heard. The studio version is cool...but it's nothing compared to the live version. It's incredible to witness the fact that her EPIC talent isn't manufactured in any way. Her voice? Incredible without the slightest editing or autotune. On par with Celine Dion; Adele; Whitney Houston; Aretha Franklin; etc. Her look?? SO unique, and also, all her. She makes most (if not all) of her outfits/costumes, and they're amazing. Even her ability to lose herself in the character she's portraying, and do so as well as the best actors out there is clear in her live performances. Anyway...she's gaining popularity pretty fast, but she still has under 300K subscribers, despite being among the top 5 female artists currently in the industry (I'd place her at #1, personally...and top 10 of all time). Underrated is actually an understatement. She should be a household name with several #1 hits and at least one Grammy by now. As should Ren, but he's at least got over a million subscribers. How every single one isn't ALSO subscribed to Chinchilla is a mystery. We need to help make it happen for her, so please react to her next, and react to her as often as you can. Ren too. I suggest doing one of Chinchilla's solo songs next, THEN one of her duets with Ren...either "Chalk Outlines" or "How to Be Me". Then another Ren solo. "The Tale of Jenny and Screech" (all 3 parts) is among his best stuff, and really shows off his storytelling and acting ability. Also his raw and imperfect style. Everything he does is incredible, and there's so much of it. I'm not even halfway thru his catalogue, and I've been a huge fan for about a year now. Lately I've been listening to "Murderer", "Suicide", and "Animal Flow" a lot. 3 very different, but equally incredible songs.

He is actually agnostic but references religion frequently in his art. He understands that “fear of the unknown preserves a religion” (Seven Sins) you missed a lot of the video. Welp, you lived up to the channel name! Maybe fully take in what you're hearing and then react rather than a second by second reaction? Seems a bit chaotic and choppy, and you're definitely missing key things in here the way you're doing it. You start talking before you pause and while he's still singing, and there's no way you're catching it all. Also talking over the song while it's playing. Every word in this song matters, means something, and you're missing them. I agree with a previous poster, rewind a few seconds so you can go back and catch the things you definitely missed. That said you have a cool vibe and I think you could be great at this. Just my 2 cents after watching hundreds of react videos. You do you though. Yeah i don't believe in the divine either. But regardless of that, there is no denying that what he illustrate in this masterpiece is the undeniable human condition and it's underlying duality which is perfectly relatable to all walks of life. The thing i believe most religious people get wrong about heaven and hell and good and evil, is that they are not meant to be taken as physical realities. They are just a symbolic representation of the human minds duality and that is what Ren just described in this piece. We all have it, some tilt more towards a darker nature and some more towards the brighter. But we all carry both aspects so it's a war we can never win or get out from, ergo, an eternal war like the depicted Angels vs Demons of religious texts. The concept can also be applied to physics in the sense of positive and negative energy. It all depends on how willing we are to understand things from a wider perspective.

"I spent half my life ill'. That line usually gets new reacters. What is wild is when you realize it is true. Ren is a treasure and he belongs to all of us. Ren uses a lot of spiritual and religeous imagery in his lyrics but he is agnostic; he states this in his story of 'Eden'. For instance, his rap song 'Seven Sins' is about his pain due to illness, but it references religeous themes and speaks to the seven sins. it is freaking amazing. Fun Ren would be 'Losing It' and 'Illest of Our Time'. Pulling your heartstrings Ren is 'Suicide', 'Freckled Angels', 'Dominoes' and 'For Joe'. Creative Ren is 'Back on 74, Message in a Bottle Retake'. Busker Ren is 'War Pigs' cover or 'I Shot the Sherriff'. Ren collaborating is with Chinchilla 'Chalk Outlines' and Sam Tompkins 'Blind Eyed'. Ren the bard is 'Tale of Jenny and Screech (Full)'. That 3 part story will blow you away. Finally, Ren's additional masterpiece is the series 'Money Game 1, 2 and 3'. The ending is just pure art.

He just also raps like a maniac and put out a hip hop album last year for fun and to prove he could 😅 Ren is different 😂

I saw a few comments saying you stopped too much. I am going to be real with you if you dial it back you are going to get comments saying you aren't stopping enough, lol. Just find a spot that you feel comfortable with and enjoy because this is your reaction channel. We are literally here for your reactions. Oh! But after you pause and give your input push the left arrow on your keyboard so it takes you back 5 seconds. Ren raps fast and it is super easy for words/meanings to get lost in the pause. Keep doing what you do, you are great!

That was a good reaction, thank you. Ren is a diverse and genre bending artist with a music catalog spanning more than a decade. If you decide to dive down the Ren rabbit hole you will discover one of the most talented artists of our generation. Ren is not Christian. He is agnostic but loves to use religious imagery in his music. You will see this in many of his songs. You might want to check out Sick Boi which was released immediately after Hi Ren. To answer your question as to the most underrated artist? That would be hands down, Ren.

You need to watch "The Tale of Jenny & Screech". It's Ren's masterpiece. Storytelling at its best (and with a jaw dropping twist). Though, if You prefer more hip-hop vibes, check out "Hunger". Yep, Eminem's the GOAT, but Ren is close secund :) Most underated artist? Easy: Halsey.

💙🇺🇲 Not hating here just saying, that when you don't pause the video when you start commenting it's very hard to make out what you are saying and it is impossible to understand what the artist is singing. You also need to rewind back 10 sec or more so as not to loose some of the lyrics and the flow of what is being sung. 😊

Ren was very physically sick for almost 10 yrs, at points being bedbound for a few yrs. He got sick in his late teens and experienced medical gaslighting, doctors told him it was all in his head, he was making himself sick, he just needed to think positively, do yoga or meditate etc, but they didn't give him the right tests and he actually had undiagnosed Lyme Disease for many years. It's treatable if diagnosed quickly, but if not it goes on to wreak havoc in your system and can cause permanent damage. He was given a lot of inappropriate meds and the side effects made him physically worse & also gave him psychological side effects, thus the psychosis he mentions. But it all stemmed from a very real illness that was being ignored. He finally got corectly diagnosed, got stem cell treatment that made a huge difference, then he spent a yr and a half in Canada getting more treatments. He's just now moving away from Canada but says he's not completely cured & may have some issues long term. Anyway, he's doing a lot better and there's more to his story, but that's an intro for you. Keep going with Ren!

If you continue to do Ren reactions, I promise you, the Renegades, like me, will come flowing to you. Pauses are GREAT in my opinion. (Better than talking over the song). BUT, can I recommend that you rewind at least 5 seconds after any pause? Even if you don't realize it, you miss little bits as you are thinking about what you are going to say, and then when you click back, you are thinking about what you said for even a split second. With any musician (but ESPECIALLY Ren) you could be missing some really important subtle part. Just a piece of advice. Oh... and with Ren, NIX the captions. They almost never get him right, and they are more of a distraction.

After Hi Ren - Money Game 1, 2, & 3, The Tale of Jenny and Screech (please do the trio (including violet's tale) in one go. All three are integral to the larger reveal), Sick Boi, the live Chalk Outlines with Chinchilla, and if those get too heavy - drop in the Live Blind Eyed Angry Car Park attendant to give it a good laugh. And then if you want to run deep on his amazing rapping skills... there are a million to choose from. I'll be for every reaction... Great job.
