Blind Revenge | Full Thriller Movie | Daryl Hannah

Blind Revenge - Sir Paul, a distinguished author, blinded in a horrific accident, advertises for an amanuensis, an assistant to help him with his writing. He employs the amiable Jane Ryder to be his eyes as he revisits scenes from his past and works on what he intends to be his final opus. Jane appears to be ideal: attractive, intelligent, unruffled by her employer's abrupt eccentricities. But, gradually, we come aware that Jane has another agenda. Incrementally, Sir Paul's familiar surroundings are altered. Strange things happen around the house and he becomes increasingly dependent on his new assistant. Jane plays increasingly sadistic games until their relationship breaks down.

I have not seen one movie of Daryl I did not like. Reading about her is always a pleasure, how can someone born with issues overcomes and then live the life many of us do not have courage to live. Excellent film. Could even have been a play given the characters and their interactions. No CG needed. Also I'm not very familiar with Ms. Hannah's work but this is the first time I see the softness of her charm. The way she swung from one type to the other and maintained her softness for quite long. I was quite charmed.

amazed to see tom conti.. he was a neighbour of mine when i was a child. i can remember going to school and walking past his garden. he would be learning his lines in his front garden. he is of the same italian background as myself. such a good looking young man. i must have been 12 at the time.

My expectations weren't that high from the rating. Tom Conti rarely disappoints though and he is marvellous in a very natural and easy way here. Daryl Hannah also rises to the challenge of her role. A difficult chemistry to achieve and they made it work.

Watched entire movie. I did not expect that ending although predictable. Since she accepted his face minus dark glasses, I thought they both had reached an understanding of their lives. He would ask her to marry him and he would leave his fortune to her. I think their game of cat and mouse served them well. They could have saved each other.

This is a genuinelly good movie....quite rare in the fact, that it barely changes location (and has an on-screen cast you could count on one hand) Coul;d easily work as a stage-play. Agreed. I'm surprised by some of the Amazon reviews. Very superficial and shallow. To penetrate the mind of an artist, through their paintings then reveal his innermost secrets, takes more than simple eyesight from Sir Paul, who was blinded by a horrific accident. And that deep excavation of the artist then brought out his own heinous past to light. One is reminded of the old adage: it takes one to know one. I thought the courageous attempt of Jane Ryder at defending her husband's past being shredded to pieces was truly masterful. Her own righteousness, from the early part of the movie was demolished. There was no way of knowing what was coming. Outstanding movie! A classic mystery movie.

Amazon exists not only to turn a profit, but also to dominate the online retail business any way that's legal but not necessarily ethical.
