During the years of the Great Patriotic War, more than 4 million awards were made to ordinary ordinary soldiers and junior officers with the combat medal "For Courage". It was a very honorable award, which was awarded for the manifestation of personal bravery by the Red Army soldiers directly during the fighting. It is no coincidence that the medal "For Bravery" was the highest medal in the award hierarchy of the USSR; orders were already following.
However, in the history of the Great Patriotic War, there are also peculiar record holders who received several medals "For Bravery", more than once confirming their bravery. These people were not chasing a reward, but simply fulfilling their combat duty. Among such people, it is worth noting a very modest soldier, Sergeant Semyon Vasilyevich Gretsov, who was awarded SIX medals "For Bravery".
