That feeling Tom describes when his father passed. I've felt that feeling once before. It's hard to put into words. I had just gone through a major life changing surgery about a few months prior and was rebuilding my life from nothing. I had been in bad health for a long time before then. I met my girlfriend not long after that too. She was staying over at my house and we'd fallen asleep together. I woke up in the middle of the night and I remember I didn't feel awake but I wasn't asleep either. I felt that euphoric electric feeling. It came over me so strong and I just felt like I was being touched spiritually. I felt as if God was saying I was healed and that everything would be ok. It was so powerful and Tom's description of it is the only thing that comes close to what I remember.

I lost my dad in June to cancer. My sister and dad use to watch cobra-Kai together. Somehow they got on the topic of bonsai trees and my sister had always talked about wanting one. Speed up to the week before his passing I was talking to my wife about buying a kit to grow one. Later that week my dad passed. A couple days later in the mail my sister got a package in the mail from our aunt. It was a bonsai tree. She knew nothing about what I mentioned above. Hearing Tom talk about this brought me to tears.
