No, because, the government doesn’t get their raises through a bill and, nor does the government get paid through SSA, the government gets paid through the IRS! And, the SSA doesn’t do the business of the government! A couple of the government raises are nominated and, seriously the government gets 4 raises a year. One raise comes in January, another raise comes in March around the 3rd week, then 2 raises at the end of the year. Usually the Speaker of the House may nominate they get a raise and take a vote. 0:15

Nevermind my SSI, my EBT took another hit. They sent a message in the app stating the next amount for January and it's $10 less less than what I was receiving in 2024. I am ready to call their office and ask them to cut off my EBT Benefits, I am now going to be paying $200 over the $100 dollars in cash for food. SMH I can't get ahead

We wouldn't need a cola if inflation went down. My mother and her siblings only received $500 a month SS during the 80's and lived comfortably on that. Back in the 60's I paid $65 a month to rent a furnished apartment that now costs $1500 and my salary ranged from $200 to $400 and I thought I was rich. See how that works? Heck, my mom's first job as a secretary in 1930 paid $8 a week and she helped support her mom and dad on that. Loaf of bread was 12 cents. Now it's upwards of $5.

It's is very hard to budget when you get $937.00 a month 😢 and then you apply for food stamps and you are only allowed $23.00 a month from you.😢 Meanwhile they're sitting there with their fat ass race. So disappointed 😞 with how our government treats the elderly and people on social security.

The only people who are getting a stimulus are those who didn't receive the 3 stimulus checks back during "C" & those who filed in 2021 & failed to claim the Recovery Rebate Credit. I think they claimed zero when they were actually eligible.they are referred to as "special automatic payments"
