Man I loved that Sawyer knew it wasn't the real John and pretty quickly too! That kind of makes you remember that they hadn't seen each other since he left and it makes sense that Sawyer would be the one to recognize a fake but I do think if they had seen each other Jack would have seen a difference too. When I first watched this on it's first run it made me realize how much I miss John, Terry O'Quinn is great as the big baddie but I just missed John. And it's really sad to think that he really did die, that his last thoughts were that he failed, he died so tragically, from how he couldn't get anyone to come with him, after a lot of very hurtful things being said to him, finding out that Helen died and now he no longer could ever go back to the Island, I just felt horrible for him. The only positive is that I think John's purpose was to help Jack and make him a believer, I mean look how far Jack has come from season 1? But there was something so sad about John's funeral scene, the fact that half the people there didn't even know him, I know he did a lot of questionable things but he was very good intended and I think he deserved to have everyone there, something didn't feel right and was a bit empty, it would have been nice to hear Jack talk about him but Ben was a close second and it was a good speech. And I will say I don't know why I never put it together until this season that by fate John was put on the same Island with a spinal surgeon, I don't know why I never connected the dots, maybe because the show never brought it up at all, they did with Ben and Jack but not John and him. And it's crazy to think that still not many knew about John's condition before coming there but now Jack does in the sideways! When John came back to life in season 5 I knew it wasn't him, I knew it was someone else. Just something about him was off the whole time and I just knew it, I mean we knew there was something on the Island that could turn into people like Mr. Echo's brother and Christian, I never thought that was really him. And I also knew that something on the Island would make people go a little nutty like with Charlie and his weird dreams, Kate seeing the black horse, Shannon seeing Walt, hearing the whispers and usually ended up being disastrous like Shannon or people going missing so there was something bad and good on the Island we just didn't know what it was and in my opinion now we do.

My favorite line in Lost Jack: "You not John Locke. You disrespect his memory by wearing his face, but you nothing like him. Turns out he was right about most everything. I just wish I could told him that while he was still alive"

@@bullymccguire Yes! That line just touches my heart! It was so nice to hear Jack talk about Locke in such a way! And now he finally sees him for who he truly was!

Isnt the woman who worked for Rose at the temp agency also the woman Hugo’s dad hired to “get rid of” his curse in Season 3?

I'm only here to say that you do not need a Masters to be a substitute teacher. There's some places you don't even need a bachelors degree. And we'll always have Prince Erik ✌🏻
@CrankyGrandma2 жыл бұрын
You need 60 college credits in New Jersey (and a substitute certificate which you get by paying the state 135 dollars)

In South Carolina, you didn't need that much...

In South Dakota where I live you only need a certain amount of credits, you don’t need an actual degree. I don’t remember exactly how many credits you need I think it’s like 30.

How does Sawyer get back up if the ladder is broken ? The black smoke served as an elevator? Mystery of LOST.

Hurley also owned the box company in the regular timeline. Randy worked at the chicken place until the meteor hit it. Hurley felt guilty about the curse so he gave Randy another job at the box company. The woman who works under Rose at the temp agency here is also the fortune teller his dad paid off to “break” the curse.

I can't wait to see how Rick reacts to what we learn about Sawyer's job this season! That is probably one of my favorite changes in the characters during the flash sideways because it really does show how much James changed from season 1.

As far as substitutes are concerned that is absolutely not true. You dont even need a degree at all in some states. In many states there is a test you can take after completing something like 30 credit hours at a university, for any degree i might add, to get a subbstitute teacher, and the requirements are even less for something like a substitute para-educator. You used to be able to get emergency certified, and in some states you still can be, with a full teaching certificate if you already have a degree in a related field. I.e. If you have a maths degree you could be emergency certified to teach maths. With the majority of teaching jobs being criminally underpaid and teachers having to deal with the ridiculous parents many kids have there is a huge 'teacher shortage' and emergency certification is being used more frequently as of late.

This is a _very_ basic breakdown about temp services (at least those I've had experience with a few decades back). Say *Company X* pays their employees $10 an hour. You may also work for *Company X,* but _through_ the temp agency. And you too are paid $10 an hour. But *Company X* may pay $25 an hour to the temp service to use that temp employee. Likely much more. This is because the temp service takes on the administrative costs for that employee. Including (in some cases) 401k and health insurance. *Rick,* is that Masters requirement a federal standard? I ask because I am hearing more and more about standards going way down, given the teacher crisis in this country.🤷🏼♂️

@@jackwarren5608 do you find yourself wanting characters named Jack to succeed and make good choices and then when they make bad choices/choices you disagree with it annoys you more than it would if they were named differently?
@JeM1301772 жыл бұрын
It's definitely an interesting thing. I think most of us on some level enjoy seeing connections to ourselves on screen even if it's something shallow like a name. I grew up with Jess the cat in Postman Pat and then Jessie in Toy Story and my name is in Mambo Number 5 🤣🤣 i think we gravitate towards it even as a joke. I'd definitely be like "ah no this person is called Jess they can't be evil" or something 🤣. I guess it's like a less significant version of general representation in media.

I am. My character got killed early, then killed AGAIN because they mixed his name up with a different character.
