Crazy how comfortable Scott looked and sounded playing this fast
@Bob_Piss2 жыл бұрын
No more or less comfortable than any punk drummer playing that speed. What do you mean? Compared to who?
@DietMoney2 жыл бұрын
@@Bob_Piss I guess, Travis? Barker is a very technical drummer and hits the skins hard, but I never liked how he played Scott-era cuts. Doesn’t have the same ‘freight train barrelling forward’ sound. You’re right that there are punk drummers that can do this (there’s a clip of Byron from Pennywise playing this song and he does a great job), but I still think Scott really was in that top league of 90s skate punk drummers. Maybe not wholly unique, but definitely up there with the greats.

@@DietMoney I agree - everybody thinks Travis is the goat - and yep he's super talented, but I don't see the same raw energy. Would have been interesting to see if Scott stayed with the band - not living in the past, but hey a reunion deserves the founding members. Carousel, Mutt, Damnit, Josie, Apple Shampoo, M&M's
@StinkyStarfish2752 жыл бұрын
@@DietMoney I'm glad you responded in such a well rounded way.lmao. Travis is technically a way better drummer but it's like those videos (if you've ever seen) where the drummer is going way to ham in the fills. Scott was perfect for this Era just as Travis is perfect for that Era,but Scott really does bring that freight train energy
