I see lots of comments saying "I miss this music, I hate new music" which is understandable and I 100% agree but I don't see many people doing something about it... Seriously, if we all learned an instrument, started a band and write some tunes, there might actually be a musical revolution that brings this sort of music back. Stop complaining and make a change. You never know, you might be the kid who brings punk rock back...

If Blink-182 never existed, I'd totally see Tom being a star in what we call stoner movies today, guy's a natural entertainer. Not to discredit Mark and Travis, they're the other two pillars that understood what their music was about and are fantastic in their own right. Glad we got the music though! Music was so much more fun compared to what is popular now, this might be the worst decade without any personality to remember by so far.

Some great music came out of that time. It wasn’t all so great. Important to recall 9/11 was that year, followed by the war in Afghanistan then Iraq, graduating from college directly into the bursting of the real estate bubble, followed by the collapse of a bunch of banks, auto company bail outs, leading into a recession. No work, little pay when there was. A lot of the people I graduated with (self included) moved cross country and changed career fields multiple times just to get jobs they could live on. Huge percentage of people who graduated high school 2000-2007 (or so) in the upper midwest and rust belts who ended up in TX, CA, FL, or the Atlantic Coast cause there weren’t any jobs in MI, OH, PA, WI, IN. Bankruptcies and foreclosures slashed local and state revenue, which laid off police, fire, EMS and stopped hiring other public employee’s. School districts cut salaries and stopped hiring, real estate was worthless and contractors and skilled tradesmen had no one to work for. Driving wages down under severe pressure from an overabundance of labor. At least we had a great soundtrack, and the chicks were…chicks. 😂😂😂

it's always a cycle because of nostalgia. in the 90's there was a throwback for the 60's. so yeah your statement is true. It's a generational thing. kids who grow up in that time period want to capture an ideal time and then recreate it.

Tom is like the funniest guy in the whole existence on Blink. Like, in every funny video you see of them he's hilarious. But as long as I understand, he's also the reason why they don't get together. Like Mark and Travis can't get along with him anymore. It's hard for us to believe because we always saw him as the heart and spirit of the band. I really hope they could get together again and make some music. Nowadays is hard though, who would listen to anything new they're creating that's punk again? but we always had fun when listening to them.
