Can you honestly tell us goes long it took you to nail the bridge? The time signature just feels so weird on the record and I can’t figure it out, but you actually play more naturally than any ither part of the song! So two questions then, 1. How’s long for you to figure out that bridge? 2. How do you count it? Thanks!

Ha ha good question! I played it naturally because I probably worked on it for a month or two as kind of a warm-up exercise until I could play the entire thing from memory up to tempo in my sleep because I just really dug that part of the song and the challenge it posed learning it. I just added the other easy parts of the song later so I could make a complete cover. As far as explaining it, it’s a 16th note pattern in 4/4 with accents and ghosted double strokes etc. The beginning is a bpm 280 double time feel that does a metric modulation quarter note equals eighth note to BPM 140 in the bridge. Hope that helps. I used sheet music.

@@mgtimp I saw you were reading as you played along so I knew you'd have a detailed answer! Incredible man! Thanks for the thorough explanation, it's exactly what i was looking for!. Knowing you didn't just get it over night is so validating to hear. That bridge is also magnetizing me to learning the song. As soon as I noticed myself falling off the time signature, I was like, "I HAVE to learn this part!". The struggle continues.
