That fast down picking chord on on the 3rd feet of the E and 5th fret of the A, when you slide down from the 3rd feet of the E to the 2nd fret, you stay on the 5th fret on the A string. Makes a beautiful chord, and that’s how it’s played.

Yeah, the G5 doesn't go to a Gb5, it's a dissonant F# chord. He also left out the Gb E F# single note progression in between the chords.

In the chorus, you move your index finger from the G to the F#, but you stay on the D with you pinky, throughout the whole chorus. While if you listen closely to the original you can hear that Tom is actually removing his Index from the F# so it becomes an E D power chord before he goes back to the G.

Since you say this is EXACTLY how Blink 182 plays it, I'll have to call you out. The verse is not played with open chords. It starts with a D power chord at the 5th position and continues from there. Most people think the moving root note is played twice throughout the verse (you played it twice the first time and once after that). It's not. It's played twice the first time (D root) and then THREE times after for each chord change, with the root note of the previous chord being the lead in to the three note pattern for the new chord. The chorus is G5 to D/F# (that's 2nd fret low E, 5th fret A string, 4th fret D string). Listen carefully to the recorded version and watch live versions.

During the verses you strike that single note twice before striking the small chord shape but your into is good, slso when you change the single note part to the next note, you strike the old note once then the new note once
