If this song truly speaks to you, how much do you have wrong with you? Jesus, an Alzheimer's sufferer could write better flowing lyrics than this. Blink came up as Pop-Punk and that's where they'll forever stay in my mental categorization of their music. So until they come out with a Philharmonic orchestra, start rapping, re-invent themselves in some other wholly different way or declaritively say that they're no longer Punk rockers I see no reason to change my mind. Punk encompasses a wide genre of styles and there's room enough for Blink to remain there regardless whatever your narrow view of the subject may be.

This song is amazing. The only thing that sucks about this whole Skiba thing, is that blink-182 can write and release some of the best music they have in the past 14 years, and no matter how good it actually is, it will be completely disregarded by some just because "ITS NT BLNK WITHOUT TOM!!11!". This song isn't missing anything. It's perfect from start to finish. Melodic verses, catchy chorus & a fast-paced bridge (similar to feeling this). They're smashing it right now and their album will do the same.

Is it just me that thinks that this song is an open letter to Tom Delonge? Lyrics like 'rescuing a nightmare from a dream' (referencing The Dream Walker), 'whispers turn into a scream' (how Angel and Airwaves' first album destroyed Blink), and 'long way back from 17' (basically the friendship is over because - 'life's too short last long') seem to suggest so. Factor in that many fans have badgered Mark and Travis to stick with Tom, and Mark hits home how they've tried - 'going over and over and over.' But it's a futile exercise. Tom's simply a 'stranger staring at the ceiling.' Then, to cap the song, there are soaring synths and an 'oh, oh, oh' chant reminiscent of Tom. In short - is this goodbye in song form; the old Blink is 'not coming home'? Or am I just reading way too much into it?
