Blinken sees failure: "We didn't stop the slaughter"...

In this excerpt from the documentary series 'The Corridors of Power' the then deputy secretary of state Anthony Blinken looks back on the international response to the civil war in Syria, and expresses regrets that "we didn't stop the slaughter." Currently, as Israel is under investigation of committing genocide and human rights violations, the US is not just failing to stop the slaughter, but is actually funding the killing of over 40.000 Palestinians with $12.5 billion in military aid. Since Israel's founding in 1948, it has received $158 billion in military aid from the US, with which it has maintained a Jewish ethno-state, based on apartheid, settler colonialism, and oppression of the Palestinian population. This time the US did not just fail the victims, or its own values, but its credibility.
