This layout is so fantastic, I had to watch the entire trip, which for me, with a short attention span, is unusual. GREAT work-person-ship (being politically correct) WOW! Thank you for this video. The owner and or members should be proud of their efforts. :0))

Great to see so many kids and young people there enjoying the hobby.

Great perspective of the size vs "monsters". Kids smiling. Reminds me of my drone train-chasing days. 👍

very nice the steel factory.i have worked there in the Netherlands/Hoogovens Ijmuiden staal.
@musicman89422 ай бұрын
And like every other steel mill I've seen modeled that has coke works - there's no way to get the coke out of the ovens to a hot car. No door cars, no pusher ram. Worked 4 years for US Steel Fairless Works in eastern PA. 2 in coke works and 2 in rolling mill.

Okay, I'm in the minority here, but I enjoyed seeing the people in this video. It gave it a "Land Of The Giants" feel... Anyway, there's plenty of pure model train videos, so let the kids have some fun too!

I can't emphasis how much I really enjoyed when the trains were travelling along in the tunnels b'corz' that way I couldn't see all the '' GIANTS '' wobbling around all over the site....apart from that it was fine.. next time please be '' GIANTLESS '''

As a former member I feel obligated to comment. I am impressed by the new layout size but I am shocked to see a lot of the track isn't up to par. To many kinks on the straight track areas which could cause derailments. Your train stopping suddenly, if your still running digitrax check there.(booster) It was an issue before. Does this layout still represent the 40's and 50's period? I would suggest ditching those bright blue/white lights in the buildings as it looks unreal. Get a yellow or low whiteish glow instead. Im also saddened to not see the mountain scene used to get to the upper level. It was a focal point on the old layout but maybe I missed it.

So I'm not the only one that saw the poor tracklaying - and it's prefab to boot! Doesn't look like 40's/50's any more - spied a couple of heritage diesels like the PennCentral one. It's definitely 21st century.

The giants expect the one that seems to be controlling it were annoying. He was too cute to have a problem with. The little ones were the annoying ones. I kept thinking they were going to derail the train

Yes, but note how the lower levels are also landscaped! With a blue roof and a tad more light, it would seem like open sky!

The high speed of the train made the video look like a tinplate racetrack. The full size "giants" bothered me less than the unrealistic speed.

Any distraction from the layout lets the video down. I would really like to see this when it is finished but without the faces.

What is the purpose of this movie ? You or the model train ?
@joewilson97445 жыл бұрын
It would have been a great video without all the distractions. Between all the people talking, walking by and sticking their nose...or butts in the view, really ruined it. It also looked bad having the engine coming to a halt in the beginning of the video. Fix the problems and do a second take. I'm sure it'll be awesome
@twisthiltz47796 жыл бұрын
Excellent layout with a lot of work ahead. Maybe new videos could be done when bratty little rugrats are NOT AROUND to ruin what could've been a great video
@shayengineer106 жыл бұрын
Loooooooong ride, but next time, video it when people aren't around. Especially geeky kids sticking their faces and fingers in front of the camera. Distracts from an otherwise good video.

100 pounds of layout, 10 pounds of railroading, poorly designed for a layout of its size

@Aussie Pom my layout is n scale 40' x 25' and through watching other videos of layouts which are 100x better, I made a critique of this one,
