Used to play a lot of Blood Bowl - still have my undead team, the New Orleans Haints! This version sounds interesting, especially the card play. May have to check it out!

@@get_the_lead_out 🤣 it’s a fun game. What I do love is the box comes with 23 team cards. So it’s easy to expand to other teams, which are half a blood bowl team.

Yeah I was poking around Barnes and Noble and found a 2024 release of Blitz Bowl. Figured I'd give it a go!

First die roll, sees the symbol "Oooof, attacker down, that's a turnov - oh, so there's none of that in this version" :D (in full/at least past versions of Blood Bowl you completely lose the rest of your turn when pretty much anything fails)

That is still the case with "real" blood bowl. I have a friend going to the states this week, and i´ve put an order on a box of Blitz bowl. Seems quick and fun, although a lot simpler than Blood bowl.

How are you handling the direction the player moves after getting shoved? I thought the opponent gets shoved in the square directly opposite of the shover. But I haven't read the rules in a while

I believe that's correct. Unless they can't be shoved into a space.

I do not think the challenge cards are active for the first half turn.
