good video! i got earlier today. just played through about half a solo game before i realized i was scoring wrong (i wasn't taking in to account who was winning on the "battle track" and just giving points to whoever closed the campaign). figured i'd find a video to watch to make sure i wasn't missing anything else. much easier to absorb rules (even ones i felt i "knew") SEEING it happen instead of just reading. i also had no idea those cardboard blind things to hide tokens had info on the inside. playing solo they aren't used so i never paid any attention to them. that'll cut down on flipping through the book as i learn what all the symbols are/do.

We had North American distribution before, it's just always sold out quickly! We have a new print run just being loaded onto a boat, doubling our previous order size!

Hey Rodney! Picked this game up a while ago and while I really dig the game, the rules manual was subpar. Thanks a ton for this clear and concise explanation of the rules! Appreciate your work as always:) I did want a clarification, though, and would appreciate your help. The bonus VPs (1,2) on the war victory point track are only obtained in conjunction with a closed campaign or theater of operations, yes? You do not get those bonuses as soon as your marker happens to land on or pass that point. Am I correct?

Hi Rodney, got a question for you. In the example you show at 10:04, we ran into exact same situation and we were wondering whether the battle scoring or placing another tile comes first, this can make a huge difference since the second tile placed may change the position of battle marker to the other side. I couldn't find answers from rulebook or BGG threads. I know it's been a while since you cover the rules for this game, so many many thanks in advance! Have learnt over a hundred games watching your videos😊

Hey there, since you resolve the effects of a piece after it's placed, I believe you would resolve the closed row first, before adding the other token. I'll double check with the publisher, but if you don't hear anything back it means this was correct (or I didn't get an answer).

Just to ask too, can the game also end once all the theaters on the board are close (in other words, when all spaces on the board are covered up)? In that case, who would be the winner? For example, if you were the one who put a token on the last available space on the entire board, would you check for points first, and if neither person reached 25 points, then would you win automatically since there no more open spaces on the board, since you opponent can placed anything on the board anymore?

@@WatchItPlayed So to summarize, you would do these steps 1. Closed out the theater. 2. Score the points for closing it. 3. Check for 25 victory points on either side. 4. If no one wins by points, then whoever closed out the board wins. Also to ask, if gray closed out the board, scored 25 points, and green didn't but can't put a piece on the board (due to board being fulled or no pieces left), would grey win in that case?

I know you wrote this quite some time ago, but a better answer is that if all spaces on the board are closed, a minimum of 56 points would have been awarded to the players. The game cannot be ended by one player not being able to place a token, because the end-game would trigger by points before that no matter what.
