Actually, even unupgraded or going down the fast path, the iron worms guarantee that you get three iron per tile, while mining it manually gives you 1-3. Even the fast worms get you more iron overall than your drill. Also, the iron worms don't double the iron, they just add one extra iron per upgrade on that path. So with Diligent Worms, you get four iron per tile, and with Meticulous Worms, you get five.

Once the drones ramp up its hilarious how much you get. The worm drone pair is insane though. Saves you so much time and effort, just find the multi nodes and drop the worm off then elave to go do more digging elsewhere. Only have to haul relics and like, water, back to get the next major speed or number boost for drones.

For one of these, you should definitely try to clear the map. Go for a 100% cleared, no ores left, no dirt left challenge.

If you look closely at the worms when they come out, they're little Drillberts : ) Also, the really giant worms are Amazonian. You can hear them sucking through the mud. When I was in college, we watched a short film of a tribe that used to eat them. Nasty barely scratches the surface.

Werent there big masses of weak monsters? If i remember right i used tesla dome (no armor etc) and it was fairly easy.

No this is in the last line of stuff to do and it wasn't just weak monsters, the slammers aren't considered weak yes they are slow but they do huge amounts of damage. Twin lasers were able to keep the side clear as long as you got that upgrade . The Tesla couldn't keep up killing things fast enough.

You can get a lot more defensive drones if you max out the tree. The overcharge tree gives even more and makes them more powerful.

Long Lasting Battle Drones is what I usually go with. In fact the first Battle Drones upgrade I usually rush as the drones can solo the early waves entirely unaided for maximum mining time.

This challenge is literally free, if you use the Assessor. It's only hard if you make very poor decisions with what you pick, like Blitz did here.

seed does not need to be planted on iron. It will produce iron when placed anywhere. Seed planted on four tiles with iron and water and cobalt is ideal. And ya. seed on tiles of more then four take forever. But if like like iron here, water 3 tiles away and cobalt 2 in diff direction. as long as path is there. it will find them

Drilling rigs is extremely broken with it supplement when it come to strip mining, not to mention the radar cave enabling you to strip mine 4 block apart. I swear my map is always 70-80% excacated with it

I found it to be on of the easiest, they give u enough cobalt to finish it, as long as u don’t have to repair the dome over like 5 times , and if u get the dome resurrection supplement , even better because it won’t auto repair

Kinda made me mad that you say you can't upgrade anything while you can clearly still upgrade your drones and the furnace. They aren't super useful at that point, but they are there. And why wouldn't you just get them? Any resources unspent when you win aren't saved. Just spend the resources and upgrade.
