You can make things overlap by moving them on top of other things. That would allow you to for an instance, create 4-legged creatures with pairs of legs starting in one joint and being built exactly the same.

Do you know that worm like creature you tried to make? I tried to make it during class and I was so freaking happy when it worked in generation 1 straightaway. This game works by copying a design multiple times and than re-using it, making all of them try and do different things. Each of the copies tries something different to see which is most efficient at its primary function.

I would say try making the back leg triangular like the shark, and maybe its too heavy (long neck but short tail)? Also, the neck might be trying to act like a leg since it keeps going down.

Okay so I just found out that if you click "BEST OF GEN. X" rectangle on the upper right corner it gives you a lot of data on your creature. It tells you its fitness percentage (which I don´t really know what means XD), average speed, travelled distance and some other stuff. It's pretty nice

With the dinosaur, try giving it 4 legs instead of 2. If your trying to make a recreation as realistic as possible you need to make it as similar as possible, and they dont have 2 legs

If you get a square one the right size, it should actually start roll/tumbling pretty good. After that I tried making a similarly sized circle, (just gave the square 4 more joints to sorta round it off, then supported it with 2 bones that go accross the middle north and south, east and west, but don't connect them to each other. Then muscles from each outer wall, to it's nearest inside Bone. Nothing else. After 50 generations it was rolling like a pro, then over night after 1000 generations it was almost a racing wheel. lol Might be the best roller. I think maybe the bouncing wheel, and the circular one you did after it, were over complicated.

Use bones the support the creations inside but when you do make sure you always have a triangular shape inside so it cannot flex or warp. Just try making a triangle with muscles connecting the sides similar to your jumping square and you'll see what I mean.

Bliz just take a look on the best one it has stats (which is one of the amazing party on the 2 bones 1 muscle) :D also there is a way to make a rolling ball :D it goes up to 6.5m/s make a cube with 4 joints on each side connect the bones which are next to each other with bones as well as every second one :D It does not matter that it is squared while making the flexing muscles will make it round :D also you could evolve in batches it takes less memory and you can evolve more of one generation which gives more variations :D (anthough every batch costs time)

i made a pair of legs, most were going backwards. one was dancing (not kidding) and only the other one was actually walking, and like realistic walking ( also a new version has been released. and it can show which muscles are expanding and contracting
