Tip for the bricks. Use the numer keypad and set the number you need for the building (ex, Hardsone bricks 700) dile 700 on brick machine and you get 1 brick that can fit the box whit all other items and not 70 / 10 bricks that can't fit inside the box + other material.

I don't know if the game would allow it, but it would be fun to install a conveyor belt that would deposit the stones, gold, and others directly on the jeweler's counter to constantly have money at any time. and also to see if a mountain will be created and buried the jeweler😂😂😂

Just a little tip, it's not worth completely automating early on. Profits slow. Just run a drill, and have an empty pipe dripping above into pan. You get better materials doing this, which sell for more.

The dev has said that automating is always the best option. It's all about how much profit you can make with as little manual mining as possible.

Let me clarify, it's not worth using the crusher. The returns from "manually" panning are buffed. But you can just have a digger spitting into a pan and have lava dripping from a pipe onto it. So its automated, but you can't sort it like this. But selling raw is still really profitable like this early on

@@crated_ maybe for the first in-game hour. But after that it pays off to start automating. Each step increases the value, rather it's ore to bars, or bars into weapons/jewelry. The quicker you automate, the quicker you start increasing your profits, while decreasing your manual efforts.

@@Bama_Boy you really don't need money, and if you do, then the setup I described covers funding it easily. Automation is more for tokens and afk to let materials build up to make the buildings

@crated_ how new are you to hydroneer? Profits don't "slow" just bc your automating. Your whole comment was about being profitable but yet now your saying it's not about money... that's convenient but it's much more profitable to automate. It's simple, the more you do with the raw resources, the more you get. The lower your drill is within the claim, the better the raw materials are. The higher the lava pressure is in the pipe, the better the raw materials. It's 100% better to automate vs a drill dropping ice into a pan with a lava drip. The more you expand, the more you get. Idc what you think you know, there have been multiple videos of ppl running test, how much can be produced per minute, and automation is 100% superior. Maybe using a drill and lava is "better" b4 you can afford to automate, but once automating is affordable, it's absolutely worth automating the earliest you can. This has been a known fact in the hydroneer community for years now. Just bc there is a new dlc, doesn't mean the code is different. Max, the game dev, made it so that automation is superior so that people have a reason to automate, it's how the game is meant to be played. Maybe if your speed running to a certain amount you can get a few drills dropping into 1 pan and a lava drip for a speed run. But it's not superior to having dozens of drills going along side a belt that feeds into a harvester, that takes the ores through seperaters, and automatically smelting into bars. Having diggers drop into a single pan with a lava drip can only get you so much resources per minute, and can only get you so much resources before you get so much lag when trying to grab the pan. While an automated system, can have dozens of drills dropping ice to a belt, to a harvester, to a smelter with heavy weighted bars dropping into a pan will absolutely destroy whatever the lava drip can produce per minute. If you want to be technical. Regardless, a pan of mixed raw resources gets laggy very quick, and it is ONLY good for selling bc you would have to seperate them in order to use the resources. Having an automated system is superior, regardless of how you feel. A drill, a pan and a lava drip is only viable for early game, period.

@Blitz Driving in this game still sucks. Been playing past couple days, got my setup really nice. The rake is really nice if you want everything tidy. Built one mine above ground and the second underground. Conveyors built in the side of my underground mine, pipes are all hidden for appearance purposes, let's just say it took me about 3 hours to complete.
