If you ever do the Dense Iron challenge, I highly recommend unlocking iron worms to use as your starting gadget. I don't know exactly, but it felt like the iron was around 25x harder to mine than normal, which is insane. The worms just negate this, and even gives you more iron per block, which is great. The worms are one of my favorite gadgets in the whole game.

I've never heard of that gadget. What does it do besides what you listed?

@@Creeperstormer It spawns a "pack" of worms every .85 cycles that you can pick up and drop on an iron deposit. Over time it mines that entire deposit giving 3 per block, which is the max drop for them. The upgrades either lets them mine extremely fast (like 8 iron/s), or you get 5 iron per block, but its much slower to mine (1 iron/12 seconds) Its really nice to pair with drones, since it drops the iron onto the ground, and the drones can just go pick it up

IMO, drones might've been a better option due to the fact that you don't have to keep going down to collect the materials, and the added combat capabilities if done right.

Projectile Hell is honestly a fun one. The sword dome could be pretty good for it, personally I did it with the Artillery Dome and just maxed out the antiair machine gun on it.

Hey blitz, if you are going to do the dense iron challenge I recommend using the Acessor, as their compression mining upgrade decreases the rock hardness influence on mining speed. I barely felt a difference doing it this way!

Dense iron i only would recommend if you can chose the bomb as a starting gadjet

Only clear error I can see was taking the auto-repair and, worse, wasting cobalt upgrading it. The whole point of that thing is that it gives you a certain amount of free healing _once per battle._ For a single fight, it looks like you're better off just buying normal heals. To a lesser extent, the choice of shield and missile launcher is similarly suboptimal. The shield gives you some extra HP, but its main advantage is that it recharges for free each cycle, and the missiles give you some nice burst damage, but again are a once-per-battle bonus, and thus not the best when there's only one battle to fight. That said, I don't know if there were any clearly superior options, and both of them _did_ offer some unique benefits: the shield gives extra HP beyond the max you can get from dome upgrades and doesn't cost cobalt doing it, and also gives you that period of invincibility, and the missiles offered a nice burst of damage at the start of the fight, clearing out some attackers immediately and reducing incoming damage.
