You missed a secret fish. To get it go down to where the Tim is with a mega hook and large bait. Have no light, or sonar or minimap and that’s it!

You can still use sonar you just need to press shift to hide your URL when you cast.Btw the fish is called Maskfish.

To catch lindfin the hat needs to be on the rock, you need to get near it then, also bomb tart because it will snap the line(I'm unsure if the hat respawns tho)

If you could, I would recommend using the bait hat so you don't have to catch small fish to level up your bait, the Bait Hat makes it so you always start with medium sized bait, it is very good for these long fishing sessions that you do in this game

It's not as good as you say it is, to even catch these new fish you either need flick or the explorer hat, flicking all the way down takes a pretty long time and it better to use the Fennec or explorer hat. The only reliable medium bait is the Dijon and Young Cusper which even then is pretty scarce. Since this zone is late game, just spend 50k every cast in order to skip that and just catch whatever size fish you want while chaining fish.

If you dont know, there is a secret fish under the map called the underfin and to get it, you need to push your line up against a rock and it should go lower. (I think)

Theres another secret fish you need to have a rocket and bomb equipped then cast and move your boat backwards when you see fish bomb it then you can catch it in the water. it is a small fish.
