Blizzard launched a patch and it made players blow up on turn one! You can’t make this up!

Today we take a look at the latest hotfix Hearthstone tried to deploy today to stop the hacking situation in Twist as well as adjust the health of various heroes including Arfus and the patch lead to players blowing up. I am not joking.

I haven't laughed this hard at anything HS related in some time It's just so absurd, who needs QA right? - hey john can you patch this before you go home - i can write a line of code in 5 min sure but it needs testing / verification - just release it who cares about testing, just release it - perhaps you can test it? - you kidding right? am busy making a super important powerpoint

Honestly what I find incredible is the absolute jank of this game. They can't even change the decklist with a data-only patch, you know, the things you can share by copypasting a short string of letters? Blizzard can't patch that without a hard client update. Good thing they fired engineers at the end of last year or else that could even be improved on and fixed.

They had to cancel the Splendiferous Whizbang effect that copies your opponent’s deck. The client can’t even handle a copy-paste job properly. It’s an absolute mess on the backend.

I really dislike the health changes cuz I've had moments where I rushed an Arfus down with Patches by turn 4 cuz they absolutely bricked. So now it'll be even more polarising and an still insta concede if they get to spam free excavates

Arfus will be hit a lot with the -10 health, C'Thun will be a real threat now, being able to boost himself for longer

I think C’Thun’s gonna remain bad. More HP is nice but even if you have more time to do it, you’re still playing a shitload of overcosted, understatted minion while any hero with even a loose concept of tempo just rolls you over

The funniest interaction to me has to be Xyrella with one of the excavate rewards that Arfus can get- the azerite Snake, once it is played, you literally cannot win by reaching 60 health, because now your max health is 53. God I wish Xyrella wasnt useless

I don't think changing health will make major differences aside from matchups where there was already a chance, C'thun getting ten more health doesn't change a thing because he's just incapable of taking back the board, Arfus losing Ten hp is definitely a step back, but with the snake in the cycle, it's inevitable that given time, the health change will be completely meaningless in a longer battle.

The problem with rafaam is that some of the legendaries are terrible. For example, the one that gives you a single dream card and is dormant. There are good ones though, like astalor.

My Arfus winrate against Al'akir is below 50% to be honest. I mean yes: Arfus might be too strong but it's just not unbeatable. I had so many games where I just didn't draw a frost/unholy/blood-rune card... So from my experience you must draw pretty decent to get the ball rolling or you might get crushed pretty fast.

I hope they change C'thun to make his passive to give + 1/+1 per friendly minion that dies and make his Hero power be 0 and reduce the cost of C'thun fanatics by 1 or 2. I hope they change Arfus to something more reasonable, like make the Hero power be 3 mana, not 1. Make the Passive only excavate every 2 or 3 cards and not ever 1 card because that is absurd. Excavate is valued at 2 mana, meaning that they are cheating A LOT of mana with just that passive and then they get a rly good deck and the hero power..... its just too much.

It's funny how long are you rambling about things in HS almost nobody cares, but standard meta where Druid can scam 70+ dmg in one turn, Rogue can have infinitive value, Warrior destroy half of your deck, Paladin buffing minions with charge to 20+... not a single word.
