A squishy spellcaster. A squishy spellcaster with heavy damage, heavy mobility, precision is rewarded, misplays are punished, and aggression is encouraged. LOVE THIS HERO! I always wanted a spell caster hero that can really get in there and THROW DOWN. Really get INTO the mix and fight up close. Orphea not only can do this, but encourages it. Shadow waltz for all eternity so your enemies can't escape. Someone managed to escape? Use Dread with the slow perk to stop them~. This hero actually puts a smile on my face. Everything is geared towards, "COME HERE!!!!!" and dealing truckloads of damage. Best part, you're still a squishy wizard. Misplays can get you punished HARD! And that chance for FAILURE hanging over you at all times makes it that much more exciting! You gotta play well if you wanna live. Sorry, gushing... This hero is just so dope. I'm a cheapskate too, but that didn't stop me from buying some skins for her. Edit: Something I noticed a while ago and I'd love to point out now, spells scale with levels. Honestly, that's one quality point I'd give to this game over others. In DotA 2, your spells are nice, but their damage kinda falls off in the late game. The average burst damage spell does around 300-400 magic damage, and later on with all the HP and resistances, it just isn't as threatening as it was in the early game. Heroes of the Storm however? Ohohohoooo~. They scale with you~. Your spells, as well as enemy spells, are threatening at all points of the game.

@@incog.nyto. Well, before Orphea, Blizzard was pumping out heroes and updates non-stop. A new hero almost every month. Now it's gotten really, really slow. I don't see those empty wallet jokes anymore. Plus Orphea at least has a better connection lore-wise, the Ravenlord and his map, monument model, and a book. But Qhira came out of nowhere, an unmentioned place in the Nexus. It would have been better if Blizzard announced her way back (with Orphea, or alongside another hero) or as an Overwatch character. But that's just me.

Lol lore makes no difference to the game, and most wow lore and most lore in general is just to fit a plot more than anything. @@huniverso It's not a steal. DOTA was a map created by players after all. First heroes In LoL were inspired by Original Dota's heroes, not copy pasted. Such heroes as Caitlyn was inspired by Sniper, Alistar by Spirit Walker. Ashe by a Drow Ranger, Sivir by Luna and so on. but they have mostly different skillset. Blizzard had nothing to do with it, except it was in Warcraft 3 game.They tried to sue Riot and lost case. DOTA 2 on other side is complete rip off of original Dota by VALVE. They actually just slammed 2 in title, made better graphic and put there their logo.

Oh yeah, I think Venom may have even been a direct inspiration. Chomp and the Tendril ability look like they'd fit Venom in a Marvel Moba and in fact I think one of the old Marvel fighting games gave Venom a move where he creates a giant mouth. And yeah there's the interaction with the serpent creature that is pretty much like when Venom goes face to face with Eddie. You could also say that this itself may have taken inspiration from The Darkness with Jackie's over the shoulder serpents.

So some opinions: -Although Heroes is supposed to be a fanservice-y game with characters from other blizzard titles, we got most of the notable characters so I guess this is fine -I'm guessing that the heroes team wants the game to be more carry-able and more like League because her entire skill set looks like it belongs in a league game, which is fine? If no other characters in other universes really fit that slot I could be fine with her being a "League representative." -Please make her interesting as a character. What I mean is like when you play Li Ming and you play as this self-obsessed overconfident wizard who's totally justified in being that way. That part of her character makes her more interesting and attracts more players. I hope we can see something like that represented in Orphea. Other than that, the gameplay update looks really interesting so I wonder where this can take heroes because I really want this game to have more traction than its current state.

These abilities are too graphically invasive. how i am supposed to see a Jaina's Q (a little white ice cone which takes 1/3 of my health bar) and try to dodge it when my screen is filled with purple garbage which I can probably not even dodge as long as its aimed correctly? I am fine with the 2 heroic abilities being so visible as you need to be aware of these but I am talking about the other 2, the tentacle arm and the bite thing. One of the best thing about this game is how clean it is graphically compared to other mobas, so that I can actually try to be aware of whats happening in a 5v5 teamfight, rather then have my screen filled with sparkles and just mush my buttons and hope for good. I am fine with the anime teenager vampire, but pls keep the gameplay intact, lets not turn this game into a LoL clone Activis... i mean Blizzard.

at 1:53 you can see what i am talking about. Compare the animation of her SLOW to Kerrigan's PULLBACK and STUN. I see an insane purple blob coming my way my instinct is to try to dodge that at all costs while the real threat is being covered by it and barely visible.

It's part of the strategy (? I won't say the look invasive, but that also mean "hey mid-range assasin it's casting things over here, pls focus", i mean he is fighting 2 assasins they are both a problem, if you get slowed Orphea you would also die. but who knows, what i see there it's a perfect timing of casting after Orpheas W. probably with both (one over another) you would see Kerrigan W's circle. it's totally normal and HOTS it's not different that if your enemies cast a few CC skills at the same time, you won't see everything, at this point this work better for you because it's easier to see an "insane purple blob" that will slow you if you keep going that way XD
