The amount of noise that Love in the big city is making is so profound 😮and just goes to show how much a show like this is needed😭😭it’s one of those shows that through it being the main conversation, it can actually lead to some major positive changes 🙏🏾

Its just crazy to me that if you don't like something then don't support it. Don't watch or pay attention to it. This is not from them. They are not trying to understand the meaning/story reason for this. I'm sad a country is so backwards but happy that the world is supporting this! I just don't understand how hateful people can be and traumatizing this is for them. Its work yet people are mad, say horrible things and then if someone were to end it all, people would then say how sad they are to lose someone.. Korean has the most issues with celebrities doing things to themselves, yet the country still does stupid things like this.

I never believed that Boss and Noeul were in a relationship, for me it’s always been just fan service. I’m glad Noeul is finally saying after 3 years that they’re only good friends. I’ve always thought Boss was straight & wasn’t sure about Noeul but good for him that he feels confident enough to speak about his sexuality.

I never thought Boss and Noeul were in a relationship either, but I did think they were good friends. As for Boss being straight, unless Boss himself says that he is, I don't believe that either. Boss can be straight, gay, bi or whatever he wants to be, hopefully people don't try and push that he's straight if he doesn't want to be classified as such...

Some of the people protesting Fuaiz's photos are raging hypocrites. Some of the people being the loudest, about how inappropriate the photos were, were the same people screaming in joy online about Fuaiz's sexy dance act with Bas, just a day later. Many of the protesters just wanted to attack BoC and/or Apo, whilst still lusting at their BasFuaiz ship. Ironic how they don't mind their ship, but set a limit at two photos.

Agreed. TBH, when Fuaiz is over the age of consent, and he gave the consent to put his photos for the auction, isn't protesting against his decision show their (the protesting peoples) disregard for Fuaiz's consent and overriding his own decision? It's so hypocritic of these petty protesters.

The drama of "Love in the Big City" is just weird in this time and age! I grew up with hetero romances all around me and I'm still not hetero, so a gay show wouldn't make anyone queer. It is simple like that. On the other hand, Thailand is getting more open and I'm glad that more and more actors are comfortable to talk about their personal matters like Noeull and Supanut. It just shows that it is perfectly normal to not limit yourself to the "social norm" and choose the way that makes you happy. We only have one life and everybody should live it as happy as possible.
@BoysLoveNerd3 ай бұрын
@luunara7065 you're right. And I don't know why they are targeting love in the big city when in fact there are a lot of other korean bl series airing before it.
@aprillen3 ай бұрын
@@BoysLoveNerd I think it's because it's a lot more ambitious, has a well-known main lead actor, and got funding from the government. It also has realistic themes like HIV and multiple partners, and is arguably more of an LGBTQ drama than a BL (insofar as the distinction is meaningful). This would not have mattered much in, say, Thailand, but Korea is still much more conservative than many other countries in the region in this respect. We know that Korean BL producers often have problems finding sponsorship, which is why we often see short, low budget BLs out of Korea. But I love how Nam Yoonsu is being very outspoken, confident and proud of the project, just laughing off the haters. He really has taken a firm stand and doesn't care about how this might affect him. King!
@cathystussi71653 ай бұрын
I’m glad you mentioned the distinction between a BL and LBTQIA drama. They are different. I just vacationed in S. Korea (2 weeks) and it’s a beautiful country. I saw a few gay men holding hands, which surprised me. I was with my son and his husband!
@aprillen3 ай бұрын
@@cathystussi7165 If its anything like China (never been, just going on what people have told me), there's strong opposition because families expect their children to get married and have kids, especially the boys, to carry on the family name, so it can be very hard for families to accept it. But there's also less hate crime than in the west because unless people are Muslim or Christian (which are a minority), there's no religiously based condemnation of homosexuality as "sinful" or "evil", just a cultural view on it as "unnatural" or "unmanly". (AFAIK, buddhism doesn't have anything to say about homosexuality.) People might be very prejudiced, but gay people are less likely to be attacked in the street, at least in the big cities. (Chinese government repression is a different matter.) Again, this is just what I've heard others say, and I don't know how true it is or if Korea is similar.
@cathystussi71653 ай бұрын
@@aprillen I believe that’s true. About 20% of South Koreans identify as Christians, according to a 2023 survey. SK has no majority religious group, with the majority of the population being non-religious. So it’s cultural. I believe it is very slowly changing. Parents of LGBTQI persons need to realize that their children can still create families, even biological ones.

First rumor. I really hope this is for both ships of PondPhuwin and MeenPing. Both Pond and Meen deserve better acting partners to grow as actors. Although Meen gets a lot of straight series. I hope Pond really outperforms in Leap Day to shut up critics who say he cannot act. I think MileApo might be a stretch as they are older and have a good working relationship together. I would be somewhat shocked if it was them. I wish it was PavelPooh too since Pooh is so bad as an actor next to Pavel. But most unlikely as they are very heavy on the shipwork and fan service.

It's easy to understand. As you said, it's another country. They're all in Thailand so they should do things according to the law of said country. And knowing that grooming exists(not saying that's what happened here), people are not comfortable even if he consented. That's why.
@anitalake13 ай бұрын
True it's there laws and it's a good thing you know why because in the entertainment industry world wide sick people work and illegal predatory things happen to people who work in the industry he was too young in Thailand to be placed in that situation too young and consent or not no it's not going to happen I hope they learn but they won't

@@anitalake1 It's the fact that what had happened in the company previously really gives people bad impression when another young actor was placed in the position where they're required to do multiple NC with nudity involved. Like we surely don't live in such an optimistic world where people buying those photos are just fans supporting their favs with no underlying motivs?? Not even gonna talk about the Fuaiz situation cause whenever I point out his involvement in this project let alone the series itself doing all those scenes when the pre-production/workshops must have started when he was a minor I am called an anti. Let this anti ask for an investigation on boc for child exploitation for dff and 4min.
