This song hurts in a way so beautiful... That you can feel so fortunate to be able to feel sorrow and pain in those notes in his voice, in the lyrics... What a beautiful sh*t is to be broken!

I haven't known a "new Band" that has moved me so much as Bloc Party..... Brilliant writing, music, arrangements.... I love it ! It carries me to be more inspired, to try new things with my own music! You have to think outside the Box to create this music. and they do! - Ken in Hawaii!
@brid59705 жыл бұрын
Ken Johnston couldn’t agree more I’m addicted to they’re sound. Basement jaxx, massive attack and crystal castles. I’m happily reverting back to my angsty teen years in a tiny country town in the middle of Australia. I always had to enjoy them on my own but I just love when music actually moved me ❤️❤️

What kind of picking is Russel doing? Is it alternate picking that makes him pick so fast?
@davidburke21324 жыл бұрын
In the verse sections it is alternate picking. In the chorus sections it’s essentially economy picking (which is essentially picking in whatever direction makes most sense for the next note/string that you need to play) with some rakes (which is almost like a slow strum across several strings, usually across a chord shape, to make each string sound immediately one after the other). Just to say, whilst Russell is very competent nothing in this song is particularly fast or tricky, except where it comes to repeating it perfectly with precision in a live performance context.
