I think this is subjective as you say. I’ve always thought keeping them square is much better. And almost creating the feeling of dealing them off, sort of like jay sankeys method. I don’t know, when they are separated, you can always see 3 cards which I think makes one subconsciously aware that the 4th card isn’t being shown. Just something about this way of doing I I don’t love. Subjective as you say.
