Blockbusters 1984 Episode Part 1

Some more classic Blockbusters now, this is an episode from way back in the 1984 series and it was recorded in the TVS region in February 1985. Thanks to benriggers for sending me this episode.

Bloody hell, £455 was a HUGE amount to be won! I think there was a pair who won just over £500 but there weren't very many winners this big...

Yes there was a pair in '92 I think it was, who ended up with £550, which with inflation was probably worth about the same! You can see their final match-up and Gold Run attempt on here as their opponent was Alison Munson (Blair at the time), and she has graciously uploaded it even though she was defeated!

sure, something to tell my grandkids now, I got 2!, I looked so young and naive there!, I remember you being there somehow, with that southern accent, me and my partner were local from Notitngham, where it was filmed so we had extra pressure LOL!

Sylvia's very pretty but what a shame the '80s did _that_ to her hair! Plus, those lads were lightning-quick, she never really stood a chance ...

This could actually be seen on Maiden Castle itself ... but just a few miles south was the one region not showing Blockbusters at all at this point.
