I love that all these Australian homes have proper storm water retention built in. American homes don't and my yard floods all the time.
@vangard9725 Жыл бұрын
Wow, my house in the USA does have to front and back storm drains that pump into the street or sprinklers (the back yard ones can actually turn off) my neighbors also had em so we must've just been on a good street heh but out in Germany (I'm here for work purposes) there aren't a lot of houses with drains or even water catchers for the roof.
@t-forcepro335 Жыл бұрын
That's more of an issue with your yard than America in general. Most landscapers and planners take water into account when designing yards and such. So most yards just drain into the street where there are storm drains, or they do have drains in the yard. Sounds to me like your yard is either poorly built, or poorly managed.
@oliversuthers2648 Жыл бұрын
Yeah Americans make houses cheaper

Poorly graded property sounds like. There storm drains down every street in most suburbs.
@ballpython3310 Жыл бұрын
That depends on the area I think, like how if it snows an inch in the south the lose their minds and it really takes about a foot or more to bother the systems up north. Age of the area matters as well as they used to do things differently based on what era the area was built in. Chicago drainage for example is a nightmare as it is old and built over a swamp and has a ton of abandoned underground stuff.

@@catsbyondrepair LOL! No, I think the drain gang is just on strike, lmao! But really, moving all those plastic toys gets a bit much after a while. He's been moving around those toys, talking to them, editing them into shots for about 4 or 5 years now, and I think Ollie is just taking a break from them. He is busy as shit lately, his phone never stops ringing. Think about it, Sydney has more people than the Isle of Manhattan(6 million people) and he is the best drain guy in town. He charges a flat fee, so no matter how long the job is, it's the same charge. We are lucky he is still filming. Hopefully his channel is monetized and people aren't all using ad blockers. I have YT premium, so I don't know if he has ads or not. I'm hoping he is making a few hundred AUS each week on his videos. He has 733 videos, with a total of about 258 million total views. According to statistical data, he should be pulling in about $3k a week from YT, but those figures are often very wrong. He would be better getting sponsors like the Jetter company that sets up hs rig. That thing couldn't be cheap, with the remote and all that. I have an idea for a better jet head, but I don't have a machine shop to make it.
