I do not share the anti peat moss sentiment in North America. Europe has depleted their resources there, but in North America, we only use about .02 percent of available peat bogs for peat moss, and on this hemisphere, peat is forming 10 times faster than we are using it. This is actually a renewable resource. To be sure of sustainable practices, try to use peat moss with the Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss Association label on it, like the Sunshine brand.

About the plywood flats: blocks remain in flats and then placed into fluted trays, adding water to fill flutes? I assume water must cover plywood flat bottom to be wicked up by blocks. Thanks for vids and clarification if you can.

That doesn't look like plywood near the end of the video. Is it really plywood that they use on the bottom?
