What a fucking label man pure important if a poll for the most important labels across the board of any genres top 100 this label should be in the top 5. Nah seriously to fuck how good are the people who has made tunes on this label still setting the bar Higher and higher all the time

@@Gray-gf9so I completely agree....I've been into Electronic music since 1993...and 90% of Labels closed eventually. Or became inconsistent... Metalheadz has survived the MP3 audio Galaxy/Napster crisis...the switch from vinyl to CD/Mp3...the ups and downs of our beloved Drum & Bass scene. That is something incredible....to stay consistent and present music by the legends and risk releasing newcomer that aren't well known in the scene but get a chance... in-between we lost Kemistry, many venues closed their doors and new ones opened...people we're over critical of "Saturnz Return"...I even remember Dillinja being critical of the Label and Goldie in a now defunct German Techno magazine (Frontpage) saying "Goldie does too much"...meaning Metalheadz is to "commercial"....which in the aftermath is laughable ("Twist em up" cough....pop music...cough). I don't know any Drum & Bass Label that releases better music with quality covers, merchandise and full LPs. That let's the artists present any and every style of DnB.... While I'm certain that Labels like...for example... Hospital Rec have sold more units and artists like Pendulum had big chart entries....Metalheadz is the non plus ultra Underground Drum & Bass Label with releases made by individuals that clearly love the art of producing Drum&Bass. Nothing compares... The only Label that I support by actually buying the vinyl, CDs and merchandise and religiously follow. I know I'm highly biased....but Timeless changed my life. The Platinum breakz 1 and 2 got me addicted to DnB and even produce for a couple of years. I got to see multiple Metalheadz signed artists in Berlin Germany and Chicago USA... It is a music label that stands out and gives me the soundtrack of my Life. Sorry for my long, a##kissing comment...but I'm obviously a big Fan of the Label...and until the end of my life that will remain unchanged....

Yeah agree totally with what your saying like hospital is quality label too along with loads of others but it’s metalheadz production of the tunes, it’s not that easy to make tracks a lot of planning involved that people just don’t realise ( I’m talking about the ones that just hear noise, the average pop listeners ) I don’t know I’m no expert but you know a Headz tune when you hear one know what I mean

What a tune, and what a 12" too. I remember being absolutely gutted when the original version of this wasn't on the vinyl version of Platinum Breaks 4, the new master sounds really really good though, a lot more brightness in the intro drums, and a lot more air in the breaks too. The Blocks & Escher stuff has consistently been some of the best Metalheadz material this side of the 90s, I hope there's lots and lots more to come because very few people have the knack of making a Headz release feel like a massive gamechanging event like those two do.
