Greatly appreciated. The channel is finally growing in such a way that people are now giving tips and positive feedback so we are all learning better and more efficient ways of getting the job done.

Damn bro you have got to do something about the keywords that get people to your channel. I have been looking kitchen equipment for a while. I was so happy i found you. 🙏🏽 i really love what you are doing on your platform. Your explanations are phenomenal. Usually kitchen equipment is passed down one person at a time. This is so great because hot side tech are scarce. I would like to learn it because i do reef and customers are always like, can you look at my oven. Now i can say yes because i understand the sequence of operations on a basic level and dont have to be apprehensive. Thanx again for all that you do. You can't keep it unless you give it away.

Great explanation on the step-by-step. You're right, an experienced tech would have diagnosed that in 10 minutes and repaired in it 20. But the new guys they really need these types of videos. The only danger is restaurant owners are also watching these videos and attempting repairs based on them.

I really try to make every video heavy on schematics and sequence of operations so that a non tech wouldn’t really fully understand how I am getting to the solution. Looking back on this one though, I hope I’m not showing how to easily get to the solution of the problem.

Excellent clue on letting the motor come to a full stop before checking the next speed. 30 year veterans in the field do not know that.

One thing I do like on the blodgett ovens is the fact that their capacitors are not on the motor and easy to get to.
@REFRIGERATIONKITCHENEQTECH2 жыл бұрын
Yes, sometimes you can’t change the cap.
@BidenCrimeBoss4 ай бұрын
The newer blodgett motors come with the capacitor on them and you bypass the capacitor in the side. Not sure why they did that.

Ha I was just on call this past weekend for a very similar call on a Hobart convection oven, “oven not heating” got there saw spark and ignition of burner and then it would shut off right away tested micro amps on the cleaned flame sense got 2.4, so I ordered a new board, I go back to put it in tomorrow hopefully it works🤞

Where do you find schematics to Blodgett convection ovens?
@kenfes19122 жыл бұрын
9 out of 10 times it's the flux capacitor Marty McFly... I feel like I changed them at least once a month on all DFG 100s and you can usually tell about how bulged out it is...

Great Video! I am trying to troubleshoot my Blodgett DFG-100, looks identical to the unit in this video. I am getting spark at the igniter but no ignition/flame as if it's not getting propane. The fault code goes into three flashes, ignition lockout. The stove wasn't working last year, we replaced the ignition control module and has been working fine. Now we have this no fire. Any thoughts? I am a decent trouble shooter and was able to follow your video test procedures but do admit my schematic reading skills are lacking.

Could be a plugged pilot tube, a bad gas valve (check for voltage to the pilot valve terminals on the gas valve, if no voltage there, bad module

I'm shopping for a commercial convection oven on a budget. Are any of the house brands any good? I've seen a few reviews online for a few but can't decide on what's good. Thank you in advance from a disabled veteran.👍😉

Nothing better than getting a service call for a convection oven then turn it on and hearing that motorhome. Give it a quick kickstart on cool down and if it goes you know you’re gonna be out of there less than 10 minutes.

I have a American range convection oven, fan come on but the burner won’t come on. Pilot light is lit, but main burner won’t come on. There is door switch which goes bad on them, usually when the switch is bad the fan won’t come on neither but in this ck case fan is on. I’m really confuse what to check next or just change the door switch?
@REFRIGERATIONKITCHENEQTECH Жыл бұрын
Sounds like maybe the motor centrifugal switch but too many variables still. You need to see where you are dropping voltage

On the newer DFGs, you can test the centrifugal switch at blind terminal 6 on the module which is nice.
