Instantly subscribed after watching your keyword research video a few days ago. I have been binge-watching your content every since. You have answered so many of the questions that I have wished others would have answered and you seem so helpful and genuine. I hope that you continue to stay the same and maintain this attitude after you blow up.....which I know you will. I t's funny that a lot of people teaching blogging say that the goal is to provide the most helpful information to the consumer, but very few of them do. You are definitely one of the few actually providing very helpful information that is actionable.

I agree, most people preach about micro niche sites that you cannot grow well past 200-300 articles.

Very impressed that you took the time to answer this difficult question. I've started a blog about homesteading which worries me that it may be too broad as I touch on subjects from homeschooling to food preservation...

I have been following you for a while now and your videos are extremely valuable. I have one question, and it has been ringing in my head multiple times but still, I do get confused. I am in the tech niche. I write about android apps, software reviews, crypto, programming, and windows OS. My question is this, Is this too broad? because it seems sometimes these sub-niches I'm writing on don't have enough underserved topics to write about, and that is the main reason I'm writing on different tech sub-niches. Please what is your say about this? I will be really grateful if you can reply to me because it's the first time I'm asking you a question. Thank you!.

This video was very well timed! I was reading on reddit this morning that broad sites don't work period and google only wants very focused niche sites. Needless to say I was feeling pretty discouraged about my site which I intended to start opening out a bit. You've proven that to be complete nonsense though!

I'm an orthodontist interested in creating a niche site about braces questions, which I know is heavily YMYL, but I am an expert, after all. My question is - how does Google determine that I'm truly an expert. My identity online is multiple, I have a new gardening blog, and also write on Medium, so would that confuse the algorithm? Do I need to place my degrees in an about me page? Thanks, love your channel, it's so helpful.

Hey Morten! Thanks for the great content and value you provide through these videos. I had a question. Normally, how many contents do you think are required for a particular category to establish topical relvance of that category on the site? Suppose I have a pet niche site and I talk about many different pets. How many contents may I need to publish on pet 1 so google sees I have a good topical relevant on pet 1? Thanks again for the awesome videos.

Thank you, Morten. Very interesting content as always! I have a quick question about spammy backlinks. My project has a steady growth in terms of traffic. However I added more content than usual back in the summer and somehow I got a peak of spammy backlinks to my site, hundreds of them, no idea where they came from... (no, I didn't do any paid links or applied any backlink strategy). What is the best approach to fix it? Ignore or buy high-quality backlinks or continue writing content? thank you!
@PassiveIncomeGeek4 жыл бұрын
It's almost ALWAYS not a problem. Check this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6mUf4mCe5KGZqs I'd not recommend building backlinks, and these auto-generated sites that link to you look a lot like spam - and you can say that in a way it is - but Google knows this and ALL sites with good organic traffic get these links...

I have a question. I did a keyword research, the results were not exactly on point. Some big websites have that question in their article like tech radar. And some of the keywords haven't wrote yet but bigger websites of tech have their reviews but they dont have the specific answer there. Should I write article on them or not?

Hello Morten how are you doing? I have a question. So I opened this site a month ago and published about 20 contents on it. Later I realized that the Domain name I used for the site did correspond with the content. So I bought another domain, because the old site is just a month old, I decided to transfer all the post in the old site to the new domain. My question is, will this act affect the new site? Will Google see it as copied or scrapped content? Note that I have trashed the contents from the old site, so its no longer available in the old site. Thanks.
@PassiveIncomeGeek4 жыл бұрын
You should just set the old domain to redirect (basic 301 redirect) to the new domain. Ask your domain provider to do this. And then tell Google via Search Console that the site has been moved (Settings > "Change of Address")

I have a question not relevant to this video but how important do you think subheadings are in an article? Would you say that Google sees subheadings as equals to the title of the topic?
@PassiveIncomeGeek4 жыл бұрын
I think it's VERY important to stay as close to 100% on topic as possible. It's important to the user so it's important to Google.
@alexismontreal8166 Жыл бұрын
Use subheadings to answer related questions: you will establish your authority, win featured snippets and rank for more keywords.

HI Morten. Do you think this is normal behavior? My site is 3months old . It has 43 articles all Questions based around a topic. There is a pillar page content of 7000 words and 30 articles interlinking it (supporting content each 2000 words) While I was doing the research I found the highest volume keywords. Some of them even have more than 110 000 searches. I wrote about 30 articles that has a lot of volume and the results are this: Total Clicks:13 Total Impressions:2.6K Average CTR 0.5% Avg Position 64.1 Am I doing something wrong or It is just my search analysis? There is also 0 backlinks ( The Niche is in Food & Recipe category)

@@mazmodigital Thank you, my man. I hope so. What I actually did was following Neil patel advice and he said if you want to get to 100k monthly searches after 1 year in completely new blog ,you have to target the highest volume keywords and do a lot of articles because you can get just a percentage of the volume. What I did not agree with him was building backlinks early on the stage.
