the actual history of Old Testament scholarship is generally very edited - in the 1940s (at the time of discovery), some OT scholars were saying that the prophecies of Isaiah were too good - that they were written after the event. Then along came radiocarbon-dated and corroborating archaeological evidence in the form of the Dead Sea Scrolls, which showed that the text of the prophecies had in fact been preserved accurately. So that line of destructive attack was quietly dropped, no apologies given.

The subject of the dead sea scrolls in the academic circles has really been suspicious till this day.

@Qadir Ibn Israila I know that already, but these fragments and scrolls have not been studied & investigated properly. They got mingled with poor and biased scholarships. Not to mention how they got hidden for almost 40 years, then got released by a pleading made by a scholar in American court. The whole matter of these scrolls and how they got dealt with academically and politically are very suspicious.

Assalamualaikum Paul, could I suggest you interview Dr Robert Eisenman. He has some interesting thoughts about the Dead Sea scrolls which may be different from the conventional view. Especially about his views on James the Just and Paul / Saul of Tarsus. Interesting to interview him given his efforts to get all the scrolls disclosed and his views about what happened during Jesus/ Isa AS time and after Isa AS was raised. I believe Robert Eisenman is quite advance in age and it would be good to hear his views

I'm surprised no one brings up the actual origins of Christianity which comes from the Mithriac cult (the Sun God Mithra) who was born on 25th December, he had 12 disciples, he was crucified and rose on the 3rd day, he died for the sins of man.This cult was around Palestine 500 years before the advent of Christianity but the Christians have been very busy trying to rid the evidence but unfortunately for them, they did not succeed. I heard the dead sea scrolls spoke of 2 messiahs one on a donkey and one on camelback. One spiritual on more of warrior. How true is this? is there any clues to this in any book.

That’s a very interesting conclusion in saying that there are lots of textual variants in the order of the Dead Sea scrolls and the current Hebrew Bible. As we know from comparing the Quran and the Hebrew Bible, there are very obvious difference in the various stories of the prophets. For example timing of the story of Hajar and Ismail when she was left in Makkah, was it when Ismail was a baby or when Isaac was born as the Hebrew Bible suggest. Many of these differences perhaps can be found in the Dead Sea scrolls.

(KZbin isnt letting me post links) he compiles the information of those jews and christians who were waiting for the prophet. Do note that this doesnt include some popular incidents with jews which happened in Medina, those jews were present in Medina because they were waiting for a prophet to arrive there. ​@@FreedomFighterAsuka i've a book called 'Muhammad- His life based on earliest sources by Martin Lings' which covers these topics. These topics are scattered through the book and are arranged according to the date and relevance of context. You can download the pdf and search for the terms "Salman", and "jew", and you'll receive many results. Personally, i would suggest you to read the whole book. And once you're done reading it, i would suggest reading 'A CRITICAL READING OF MARTIN LINGS’ . It's a little document that you can search on google, it basically provides some minor corrections to Martin's book. Even then it's a very detailed and proclaimed book.

basically recent scholars says its dated before 5th century but categorised as 'fake or fabricated'..regarding 'we' as the outsiders we can still read or do rely on some texts that goes in line with the quran..cause its same as the other bibles..no official claim about 'direct revelation or god literal words'.in short none of the bible can be reliable nor trust neither put whole faith onto..all just claim 'written account of what i & the people believe on jesus'.thats all..
