Thank you so much for summarizing Br Ahmad and Br Paul’s most beautiful discussion . Liked it and loved it . Somewhat similar to the way I think . OneNess of God and One ness of Mankind . That Oneness of Mankind is the ultimate goal , but for the present Oneness among ourself is needed badly by all Ulema e Din . Be they Sunni, Sufi, Shia , Salafi, Qadiani. Etc 62 other divisions that we have ourself created or allowed it to be created by our enemies . If we do not Unite as one then we are our worst enemies . Each one need to preach and practice as One . Just like our beloved Prophet created a community of One , with the love of God and His Prophet . When it happens a one community of believers , we shall then achieve a glorious present and a future . We shall then be strong and respected in the world . Look at our Jewish cousins , they are One and strong . Even if they are atheist they are not ostracised as you are not a Jew , unlike us we ostracize at the slightest differences in rituals etc . Please something that we need to learn . All Masajids and You tube ads there is only call for collection of money , hardly ever is the MIND to call for UNITY . Our enemies who bomb our people and countries to smithereens are scared to death of our UNITY and they do everything to create splinter groups like isis , hamas and Taliban .

Haven’t even finished the video and brother Keeler has said some very profound things as it pertains to balance. The true practice of Islam resides in middle way avoiding the extremes. God is Great!
@abdessalambenbushayb7 ай бұрын
There are a number of verses in the Quran that point to this concept of the middle or balance and to avoid transgression or extremes. One of them is in surah Al Baqarah verse 143. I hope you can find imam Saadi's commentary on this verse in English. I have it only in Arabic. He talks in it about this concept of the middle/balance. In surah Al A'raaf verse 31, Allah tells the believers to eat and drink, but not to go to extremes. Perhaps also the beginning of this verse refers to moderation in our clothing when He says:" O children of Adam, adorn yourselves at every mosque and eat and drink, but do exceed. Verily, He doesn't like those who exceed ( what is reasonable.) Also in surah Al Baqarah verse 190: " And fight in the cause of Allah those who fight you and do not exceed ( the limits), He does not like the transgressors." According to imam Saadi, a Muslim fights only for the sake of Allah or in the cause of Allah and not for anything else, and he has to fight only those who fight him and not the elderly, women children, priests, animals, or those who give Jizyah if in fact they are giving it, etc. He has to fight only those who are bearing arms and aiming at fighting him. Even in fighting, Allah commands not to exceed the limits. Also, look up verse 78 in surah Hajj, Al Furqan:67, and the word Mustaqeem/straight as in Straight Path, Surah Attaghabon: 16, etc. As to the hadith, I quote only this one. The Prophet saw said: By Allah, I am most fearful and most conscious of Allah of all of you, but I fast and I eat, and I pray and I sleep, and I marry women. So, whoever seeks other than my way, he is not of me." Please, look up why and to whom he said this. It's in the books of hadith. I conclude by saying that all of Islam is balance. Allah knows best.

As a Muslim and mental health practitioner, I suggested to several Imams that some Muslims were out of balance because of living a stressful life in NYC and they denied this theory of balance and purpose. That was 45 years ago. I was blessed to have a small understanding of the spiritual illnesses by studying the history of Islam, it’s vastness, universality and Tawhid. I thank Allah for blessing me with the wisdom and I was able to teach my children the importance of development and spiritual balance.

For all of those who think it is ideal if Muslim women are not financially dependent on men: Would it be ideal if Muslim men were not sexually dependent on their women? For example, would it be ideal if men could purchase (at low cost) harems of docile life-like forever-young sex robots? How would you respond to Muslim men who justified this by saying such robots are necessary to give men true independence, such that they are not forced to stay in relationships with women who are rude, jealous, controlling, manipulative, fat, old, or ugly? How would you respond to Muslim men who said that Muslim women need to "step up their game" such that men choose to be with them instead of a robot that is more friendly, beautiful, young, and thin? The cop out answer is to say sex robots are haram, but there are other conceivable halal alternatives that would do the same thing: flood men with cheap alternatives. Obviously, such alternatives would weaken and ultimately destroy marriage because it takes away the dependence that men have on women for sex. But that is literally what giving women financial independence does; it makes them independent from men. And that's why no society or religion ever did give women that independence, except for our current dystopia.
