If youre a regular customer of PSA, I feel like you should get 3-5 free regrades a year for every 50 cards or something you grade.

I wish they would provide feedback on the cards they graded so you know why you got the grade you received. Would be helpful imo

Probably the first time there was a novice that considered the ulti stamp on the back as an imperfection, and the second time the card was graded by someone who knows that this kind of stamps have this effect on the back. I can't find another explanation cause the card looks perfect

People go with PSA or do BGS graded cards with Yugioh or Pokemon. By grading your cards and came good, also others came back bad like yours Granmarg then came back 10. They give you not fair graded, when the cards are perfect then came back bad graded. That point means, they are looking at perfect cards to quick but not taking their time to look over, over and over, they rush or sometimes they damage it.
@juannavarro84974 жыл бұрын
The biggest problem I see with PSA, is that you don't get some kind of report on the grading. Like, if they added a small letter from the grader saying like "it is offcentered left to right, it has water damage on the back, etc." then I'd be more convinced on the reason of the grade, or I'd say "no man, look, there's no damage here" and send it again. But since they only put the misterious number, you don't know what they saw. BGS has a little more detail on the slab (centering, surface, etc.) which makes it a bit more convincing, in my opinion. Honestly, I have a BEAUTIFUL looking DPYG 1st. Ed. Dark Magician Girl I want to grade. I've checked her everywhere. Centering, surface, printing, corners... I think it can get a 9 or a 10, going more for the 10. But seeing how PSA works, I'm really worried about her not getting a proper grade... specially since I checked their website and couldn't find a 10. So even if PSA graded cards hold more value than BGS, I honestly don't want my card to be degraded like that. At least I want details like the ones BGS gives, even if the "value" goes down. Best of luck with BGS and let us know your opinion on them once you get them back!

@juannavarro84974 жыл бұрын
@@CasualYugiStuff Yeah, of course, but you know, if you're going to take the risk, at least you need to know the "why" and "why not" of the grades, at least that's my opinion
@ramrull52112 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the bar code should be a avaluation value for the card.
@BrokeAssCollector11 ай бұрын
That's exactly why they don't include those letters though so they don't have to argue back and forth with these nitpicky little collector people if they send you a nine and the letter says there's a tiny crimp on the top and you send it back arguing they don't want to deal with that so it's because of people like that we don't get to know what our grades are the reason for

I think whoever graded the card the first time was not familiar with the ultimate rate stamp, and took it for being damage. That being said however, I don’t personally think ultimate rares that have the stamp should be graded as perfect 10’s, as it kind of invalidates the rarity of finding ones without the stamp. Cards with the stamp should be a hard 9 (if everything else is perfect), without stamp should be a 10. Sadly Yugioh is fairly small potatoes compared to what PSA mostly deals with, so they probably don’t care enough to make the distinction and keep things consistent.
@CasualYugiStuff4 жыл бұрын
Very valid point you’re making!
@poggiesgw3 жыл бұрын
You still haven't said why it shouldn't be a 10. All NA print fet 1st ultis will have the stamp, as will most 5ds-era ultis and newer EU ultis. Should alpha cards not get 10s because their corners aren't what they should look like? Of course that shouldn't be the case because that's how they were printed. Same thing goes for how ultimate stamps worked in some eras.
@hereinsertname3 жыл бұрын
@@poggiesgw The short answer is that not all NA ultimates have the stamp. I have personally pulled many that do and only a few that do not, but it is possible.

how the hell can it go from a 5 to a 10...that's insane...had to have been a mechanical error the first time around? How would the grader the first time give it a 5? I wonder too about graders who collect themselves and don't want to give too many good grades to other people's cards...in any case, due to l/r centering, I think a PSA 9 would be the appropriate grade for that card that went from 5 to 10
@CasualYugiStuff4 жыл бұрын
Yea man crazy right!!!! Literally doubled the grade... I’m sure there are graders who collect.. they are the best people to recognise damage/ min condition but can also be bias ... yea I think 9 would have been a fair grade also but I’m taking the 10 and loving it hahah

I get that PSA are just human but there are a few things that I don't really like. Specifically to this vid... 1. That centering on Granmarg? Maybe it doesn't warrant the card being knocked down from a 10 to a 9, but we have all seen hundreds of cards get 9's for the same reason. It creates problems when comparing cards and asking whether a 10 is really a 10 when it comes to ascertaining value and selling/trading a card. 2. On the subject of pop control, no I don't believe that there is some sort of dark conspiracy BUT it is in no way correct that PSA will be harder on grading a Blue Eyes or Charizard over any other card. Take away the character and the cards are all the same (known print run errors/quality issues aside). Not saying it's shady but it makes zero logical sense and I'm not happy about that.
