I am listening to this legendary song now in 2024 June, Cyril has sold the struggle, he has sold the country back to the white man, a sad day indeed. The song remain relevant today 😭 😭 😭 😭 , Love to you ntate Blonde Makhena❤❤❤
@LESEDIMARVELLOUS4 ай бұрын
ramaphosa never sold this country to white man, why zuma divided the ANC and reduced to 40%, so you don't blame zuma bcoz is umzulu. ANC came to MKP to ask for coalition but zuma refused, so what do you expect the leadership of ANC to do.

This was the first musician to bold challenge the N.P.straggle hold on Black people.He is always happy to discuss politics same as his mother.I used to have a chat when he stayed in Plaza in Joubert Park in the early 1990s.The same building where Papi Moloi was born.My take he has more passion for politics than music.He surprised how much (knowledge)depth he had in politics.In the Zuma-Mbeki showdown he told me early on that Zuma will win and I thought he was high or something.We all know what happened there.

in solidarity with the people of Zimbabwe. too many people are suffering due to oppression imposed on them by their own black governments. In Zimbabwe, people are brutally attacked by their State police and soldiers. In South Africa, millions are living under absolute poverty due to lack of opportunities to better themselves, the former liberation movement is now an oppressor of it own people. Millions of South Africans are unemployed yet those claiming to fight for the betterment of people's lives are the ones making lives hard. Africa is in crisis #Zimbabweanlivesmatter #ANCMUSTFALL

I don't care about the comments regarding Anc or any political organisation here. This song to me is a reminder of our childhood. Toyi toyi had meaning. There was unity. We were kids and we understood what we were taught and comitted in the fight against apartheid. We were just children 😢
