In the Impractical Jokers vid, John's wife dying was more dark comedy than anything else, since there was no reason to kill her other than to keep the show going. In this one he didn't mean to kill his dog and immediately regretted it after figuring out that Bloo's Cloo's was all in his head. Sorry for the long reply

Some people lose it in the shock of the ending but I keep thinking about this video. It is a true masterpiece in how obligations and responsibility, despite coming from a place of love and a source of strength, can also breed resentment and anger. This could be in a literal caretaking situation like what is shown or a metaphorical one, like Meatcanyon being forced to crank out cartoons to a gleeful audience unaware and uncaring of how the feels about his relationship with KZbin and creation in general. You know I'm all for making comedies of things but please, for goodness sake, ruining a perfectly wholesome childhood TV show? I clicked on it because I was curious in case you were wondering, and I always hate when comedy turns this dark. I've noticed that most other kids who were growing up in the 90s and early 2000s seem to have had way more traumatic early childhoods that led them to make this kind of adult swim style parody of shows that were actually really good. What I'm thinking is that also seems that the kids that grew up on PBS kids most likely we're probably from strict Christian homes or something? I grew up on just PBS kids because my parents simply didn't leave in cable and that's it. I just feel bad for all these people that are projecting their own trauma into what they think is just gruesome comedy

With this video, I truly believe it wasn't trying to take the road of twisted humor. Rather a road of seriousness. But I can understand where you're coming from. But I just don't think it was trying to take a road to comedy. Not everyone who makes content like this are projecting their childhood trauma into it. You can have a great childhood and still have a love and passion for things like this.

I think it’s more adult trauma and we use our childhood cartoons to understand what adults were going through at the time and it’s a bridge to help us to relate to the insanity that is adulthood. Life is beautiful but also a disaster at the same time and adults didn’t prepare us for the harsh reality. My childhood wasn’t the best but not exactly bad. These cartoons bring me back to better days and then give you a swift kick in the gut to what our parents were really going through at the time.

The animation of Steve running through the hallway with blue chasing him through the paintings with the final scene of blue’s body pushing through the paintings, his head snapping through the last one… it’s derelict and monsterous but still very anatomically correct so that we still all know what we’re looking at.
