Does RBC( erythrocytes) also carry nutrients with it along with oxygen to various parts of our body? And Do they also carry excretory waste product along with carbondioxide?

i didn't know that thrombocytes fall under the classification of white blood cells (leucocytes)......or when you refer to them as agranulocyctes are you referring to the fact that they lack granules?? I'm completely lost here. HELP! 😟

I always classify platelets as white cell fragments, they derive from large cells called megakaryocytic.

No! They are totally different! Leukocytes are the white cells with immunity function and the platelets are cell fragments with coagulation role.

Thrombocytes is the proper term but they are, in fact, platelets. It is just an alternative name for the same thing.
