Thank you kindly for casting the game and bringing it to youtube Sage. It was great to see from the sidelines after the fact.

My pleasure! It was great fun to do, and I'm just glad Focus gave me permission to upload it in the first place. I suspect they will upload it themselves at some point, but I find that speed matters a lot with these things. =)

I 100% would have scored early with the ball on the line like that

Especially playing skaven, they can score in two turns if you set up right

That tackle piece did some serious work.
@thesagebb8 жыл бұрын
Sure did! You can't really judge the quality of a decision from the (probabilistic) outcome, but we can certainly say the choice paid off. =)

That was a great cast! Really enjoyable! I hope there will be more tournaments (not only world cups) that will be played by a huge amount of people, and with some cast from semifinal+

Thanks! Casting this together with the lads was a lot of fun. I couldn't agree more! Ideally, I'd like to see something akin to the FUMBBL majors, with existing teams from the COL signing up for a huge knockout tournament (or with alternative formats, like round robin or swiss qualifying rounds). New team tournaments are fine too, but I really love high TV play, myself.

Well Id on't know about all of that :D, but I would really enjoy participating in those tournaments to be eliminated pretty early and then watch a nice cast of yours :D

I love this! I just don't see how easy this is for newbies (like me) to get into. The solo league play gives you an ok idea of what the skills do, but playing league must be like just being thrown into proper chess player pits and getting chewed up all the time, especially when your favourite players are always liable to be killed by a random dice roll! Will give it a try though, maybe it's why I hate myself! ;D

There's a league especially for rookies as part of the ReBBL. Experienced coaches take rookies under their wing and provide mentoring and coaching. Might want to check it out? This is their discord channel: discord.gg/rCPSeSz, tell Squiggy I sent you. ;) Also, simply watching more of my stream and videos should help a lot with learning both the basics and advanced skills. Feel free to drop by with any questions you should have!

That's great! Really appreciate the pointer. I'll check that out when I finish work today, if I can sneak past the wife ;)

They talk about pushing the gutter runner on the ball in the endzone. If you get pushed on the ball you can't catch it right? Ball just would scatter once again.
@thesagebb8 жыл бұрын
Yes that is correct; if a player is knocked onto the ball, it scatters.

So the lack of a 3rd match on your playlist means that Guinness rage-quited and gave up the 3rd match?
@thesagebb8 жыл бұрын
haha, that was a very prophetic statement (if not about the right game). Did you watch the 3rd place matches yet? ;)

I'm new to Blood Bowl, and maybe it's just me, but I feel like it's kind of a flaw in game design if you discourage players from scoring whenever they can. That dancing around the ball just sitting there in the end zone felt really silly to me. Otherwise this is great watching though!

While the visual appearance is somewhat strange, it's basically the same concept as in pro America. Football; late in a close game you want to draw out the drive so the opponent doesn't have enough time to score. It adds an interesting strategic layer to the game.
@Villakarvarousku7 жыл бұрын
I understand why it's a smart move, I just think it could be a more fun game if that wasn't the case. I suppose that's personal taste though. I don't know the first thing about how American football works, so unfortunately that doesn't help me appreciate it. In any case, thanks for taking the time to reply!

Like I said, I get why it's the best play, and I'd like to clarify that my intention was not to complain about anyone who does it. I play games with a very casual mindset, and I understand that competitive gaming is a whole different world with different priorities. All I meant was that I feel like the game could be more engaging if it was designed so that scoring was always a smarter play than delaying, but again, I realise that that's my personal taste, and also that it would probably require changing the entire turn system.
@Michie10047 жыл бұрын
You can score immediately and just trust your defense to stop the score :)
@samamies886 жыл бұрын
btw that kind of play happens in real life too. A team in lead might just want to waste time and drops knee on ground to get new play (down) to waste few more seconds avoiding giving opposition enough time to counterscore

why do they have a couple of giggling teens casting the games is beyond me

Watched the 1st turn: sequence of action is weird, ton of lucky blocks 1 dice ... and the last block with the ogre rat is a joke.... Not a great level. I would not recommend for newcomers to watch this to learn!
