The whole Hodor twist and storyline was amazing writing & so unbelievably sad. When Bran first asked him in an earlier episode after he’d seen him talk as a youngin’ “Hodor, you could talk! What happened?” Hodor didn’t answer “Hodor!” With a smile & uplift in his inflection. He said it totally different & softer in a question “Hodor?” Like ‘you should know’. That’s how I took it anyway

All Gilly had to say was "I was a wildling, I was born one yes, but nobody chooses where they are born. If I was born 100 miles south that would randomly make me a different person? I was a wildling but I wasn't out hunting people, I was one of many daughters who was r*ped by my father, until your son saved me!"

@@ItApproaches No, I don't think it would, honestly. Arrogant, entitled bigots like Randal Tarley will never - EVER - see the other person's pov. That would involve empathy and understanding and humility ... none of which are characteristics they have!

High Sparrow, yes ... he's a piece of rancid turd! But Tommen? Kev, he's a boy! Naive and clueless, much like Sansa was in the first season. He was never meant to be king, never trained to be such, ascended to the throne while still a child after his brother was murdered, and since then has been used, manipulated, directed and traumatised by all the crazy people surrounding him - many of whom are supposed to be his loving family and devoted subjects! I dunno mate, I kind of want to cut him some slack, you know? 😉 He didn't grow up in the north east, Kev, eating kippers and pease pudding, and dodging beer mugs in the pub! 😂😜 (You know I'm joking, right? I love you lot, and always enjoy your reactions 😍)

Hahaha I guess I was just frustrated as yet again, the high sparrow won that round. He is only a child Val, I agree. I want to boot the high sparrow in his little sparrows so much haha

you understand that Bran did that to Hodor by controlling him through the past vision.
@jayneedoh56843 ай бұрын
but it was meera, not bran, who told him to hold the door. i wonder if that had anything to do with things going ker-flunky with hodor.
@RyoHazuki2243 ай бұрын
The scary part is, that there was no avoiding it. Hodor was Hodor, so Bran was always going to do exactly what he did.

Just FYI - everything after season 5 hasn’t happened in the books. We don’t know if the Hodor thing is going to be a thing. We’re free balling it from S6 onward

George RR Martin did confirm that was gonna happen to Hodor, he told the show runners a few key plot points for them to follow and that was a major one.

@@SofaandChill yeah only some of the ideas from season 5 were from the books.. you should definitely read them if you ever get the chance … still a lot of more detailed little things from the first 4 seasons and many differences that they couldn’t fit in the show and after that there’s a ton of really great stuff that is awesome to read about .. without spoiling anything but giving you an incentive (there’s some awesome stuff they do with Catlin’s character 😊)
