"i'm the fortune teller. Last night i picked myself and [player] and got a yes" may as well be code for "i'm harpy mad"

If that becomes too much of a thing, it might get both killed.

@@whocares2277over-used or not, that's sticking to the madness. Why would it result in their execution?
@whocares22775 ай бұрын
@@somecallmetim4490 It's not sticking to the madness because you are not trying to convince others of the target being evil. It's like going to someone on day 1 and saying "hey, I'm totally not an outsider, especially not the mutant. Who are you?"
@somecallmetim44905 ай бұрын
@@whocares2277 yeah, there are other reasons they would ping a yes, so I guess it isn't Fully adhering to the madness.

What I'm taking from this is to start picking myself more often as the real Fortune Teller :D

Jules is such a great addition! They pretty much nailed the evil world immediately and also seems so dang sweet at the same time :)

I love how giving the poisoned Mathematician a 1 caused a single point of wrong information. Becoming a true Math 1. A lovely Clocktower ‘paradox’.

This is why the Mathematician doesn't ping itself lol

"I will have Lorinda the Recluse register as evil to the players in this game." This is an extremely funny use of the Harpy's ability. xD

I love how much depth you go into as you explain your decisions, Jams! Feels relatable as an ADHD/autistic person. :D And it's useful for storytellers!

1:31:35 But if the world is Robg + George, Robg would be bluffing cannibal, so couldn't be certain that Lorinda was actually the Recluse. A 1 would confuse Robg and possibly cause him to incriminate himself.

Ooh, Sam and Jams' conversation about the Cannibal/Magician interaction got me thinking about a way to make it more fun. What if, when a Cannibal eats a Magician, the Minions are awakened to learn that either the original Demon player or the Cannibal player is their current Demon. The Storyteller then decides whether or not to swap the two players' roles. If so, each is awakened and told their new role and alignment, but nothing else. If not, nothing happens. The minions no longer know whether they can trust their original demon, and a Cannibal-turned-Demon won't have any idea who their minions are. A Demon-turned-Cannibal won't necessarily want to out the minions right away, because that will confirm to them who their demon is. Not sure if this idea will work, or if it would just muddy the game too much. Also, it might make for a very wordy jinx. But apart from the possibility of a character swap, I can't think of another way to add any Magician-style obfuscation to the game after the first night.

Entirely constructive, a consideration for flavor commentary which is less blatant but can imply things intuitively. Things which may seem innocuous like "Kerry is executed and dies... And... Is still sitting next to Lorinda" on the surface might seem ambiguous. But the reverse social math is quite damning in my opinion. Like if I were in the game on the good team, I would immediately ascertain that you wouldn't say that if Lorinda was the Demon. Its not the jokes or comments which out a player that are usually the problem, I find that usually comments which occur that would not if the player is certain roles. Is the smoking gun. From the viewer perspective where I know the answer, while watching these behaviors I find it to almost always be the case. Its very rare a joke like "wait till you find out JC is the demon" happens when that player is in fact the demon. That is a similar one I experienced Ben do, when JC was actively a demon candidate lol.

Jams is lovely and does an amazing job explaining storyteller decisions, which is great for new players and for folks wanting to learn more about storytelling decisions. Also their games are incredibly fun and balanced, and have amazing vibes! The decisions they make are almost entirely about their players having the best experience.
