This copy of the 1946 Oscar winner for Best Art Direction-Interior Decoration (B&W) is as close to how the film looked in 1945 as it gets and the way it was meant to be seen! Really good film and cast. Anyone who watches it can easily see what they missed watching an unrestored copy. Thanks for your time and expertise to restore this and all the other films!

Thank you as always for your support :) I am still here, working hard on a system thats only running at half speed, its agonisingly slow but still able to get 2 films done per week to queue up. Every upload I do will be members first and scheduled for public viewing at a later date. I will struggle to do more than 2 per week as the GPU is running on half it's cores but I have plenty on the list to get through :) Thank you again, you are a star :)

Beautiful b&w restoration. Why did you colorize it in the first place? The film won the Academy Award for Best Art Direction for a Black & White (Wiard Ihnen, A. Roland Fields) in 1945.

The colourising attracts a new audience, younger generations who would probably never watch a black and white film. It is also how I started the project, colourising everything I could find in the public domain. With many requests to restore in black and white, I have begun to restore the more popular films into their original black and white, upscaled and cleaned up as much as I can, or as much as the RTX4090 will cope with running on 6GB or its potential 24GB due to the software developers not maximising for newer GPUs.
