bloodborne will hold a special place in my heart forever. it was my true introduction to the souls franchise. i had heard of it before and even watched videos on them but i never had played a game before. in the beginning i disliked constantly dying and stopped playing for many months. but then i decided to give it another go. it was then that i finally got into bloodborne and loved the game. i ended up making 8 characters befroe i got another souls game

The pimp cane is better than anyone gives it credit for. Holy damage in cane form, serrated in whip, and a piercing r2. Basically able to get a bonus dmg modifier against everything. Also really good range in whip.

I have never died more to a boss than I did to Orphan of Koss in Bloodborne. Like, in any game. I counted it, but lost the tracking. I do remember it was over 50 tries, probably closing to 100 even. This was in contrast to beating every other boss in the entire series in 1-10 tries. Close second was the fire doggo in the cursed chalice dungeon, because it has a one-shot charge move.

Just posted a torch only run of this game, and if you’re looking for more bloodborne challenges, may I suggest the basic torch only? It can’t be upgraded, has awful scaling, can’t be buffed in any way, and only does 25 fire damage. You’re the only one I know masochistic enough to actually try it lmfao. I tried that pungent blood cocktail on the blood starved beast, and they didn't even work well at all. After you do it twice, they don't work anymore. I kept trying the cheese method of just throwing those and using fire paper, but it never worked. Then I tried to just fight him normally and dodge to the left and forward when he attacked, and I beat him on the first try, lol. Also vicar amelia on ng+ is such a pain in the ass. She wasn't that bad the first playthrough, but man, ng+ she was a new woman, and I hate her. I have up on it eventually, haha. I never even got to use the dlc cause it threw me into ng+ without asking, and you have to beat her to access the dlc. That's so fucked up.
