I love Sin’s outrage at the idea of Lawrence killing a baby after wading through 8years of dead babies in Bloodborne lore. I think Rom must have been blocking it from her all this time. Rom’s actual death was during the recording of this video.

This is a great episode. You can actually hear the exact moment when Sophie's soul tries to leave her body.

When Sophie laughs, I can't tell if she's enjoying herself or if it's like some stockholm syndrome coping mechanism.

The queens of BB lore are back! Thoroughly enjoying the ep. Also just occurs to me regarding Alfred that it makes a lot of sense that he's new to the Church - nobody is as zealous as a new convert

Super fun episode! Thanks for taking the time to edit and share here! I have two things I'd like to add. 1. In Elden Ring, D is basically Alfred which helped me re contextualize the whole vileblood ordeal. There's a group of fanatics (fundamentalist, executioners) who thinks that a certain group ( vilebloods, those who live in death) is the antithesis to the order they follow and they simply have to destroy it, when in reality this is something that was at least partly born of that same order and the situation is a lot more complicated than "let's hunt the bad guys". In the end it's even the exact same scene with a blonde misogynist slaughtering a witch and achieving nothing, which I think just emphasizes how stupid fanaticism is. 2. I was told on the Bloodborne lore discord that the cut content Willem line to Lawrence in the flashback used to be "you seek now, like Gherman, to betray me" which to me indicated that it was Gherman who took the old blood to Cainhurst in an early draft of the story. This would also tie in nicely to the pre dlc doll/Maria story, assuming it was true. I mean maybe Gherman fell in love with Annalise (who used to sound like the doll) or one of her relatives there or something, I have no idea but it all fits rather nicely, right? But I have no context here, am i way off? Ultimately perhaps it wouldn't be different from the story we have in the final game as Gherman and Lawrence are "associates". So in the final game, the only possible answer to who the scholar that went to Cainhurst is Lawrence (especially because that Alfred dialogue about cainhurst plays right after we see Lawrence's memory), maybe in some earlier version it was his lackey that had been there earlier, same story.

I feel like sin when I'm explaining destiny deep lore to my friends and everyone else is like "no clue what you're talking about, you're like 50 levels deep into the lore this is ridiculous" and I'm like "yeah but have you thought about the statues and how they link to the cosmic truth"

HI! I have a question If you don't mind. It's about the certain death of the great ones children. The ones that die are the "firstborn" only? Because the "baby" of Odeon and Arianna is very well alive.... Until WE kill "it" at least.... Is that so?
@arthurdossantos6826 Жыл бұрын
I think a lot of them die because the mother just wants to keep it inside her to protect it and it turns into a stone baby.
@Darfail Жыл бұрын
They still always lose them though I suppose. Maybe it's because the Moon Presence has hunters hunt them down?

The stuff about what may happen in a new nightmare cycle after our journey is really interesting. Especially how the next generation will be exploring the nightmare ruins of yharnam and the hunters dream like with Loran. With the Healing church gone, and no one to distribute the blood, would the beast plague continue or would it be stopped until some future organization rediscovers blood healing?
@SinclairLore Жыл бұрын
I'm assuming it'd become ruins overrun with beasts, like Loran is.

So I have a different head cannon for the "Slug Ending". In my mind, you eventually grow in power and become Cthulhu basically. Afterward, The Hunter then goes from nightmare to nightmare beating the other Great Ones, Kaiju style. The Hunter then forces the other entities to obey him and treasure/protect sentient life/humanity etc and help the universe to be better. You would break every Great One that didn't see sentient life and peace as "important", effectively becoming Godzilla to the waking world and a hero to the dream worlds.

"when the great ones have kids, they die." But not always? Gehrman and his hunters kill Kos's child. We, the hunter, kill Mergo. Yes? Edit: oh you're arguing they're dead IRL (like Rom) but alive in spirit. Hm!
@Matrim424 ай бұрын
Would the Hunt happen again? Because isn’t everyone in Yharnam dead or a beast by the end of the night due to the Mensis Ritual (and, y’know…us)?
@SinclairLore4 ай бұрын
It shouldn't really because everyone's dead, but I guess other hunters could come to the ruins of Yharnam to keep the beasts contained (basically Old Yharnam but it's the entire city).
