Bloodborne - Gehrman Boss Fight (Music Turned Up)

I know this is a music channel, but I wanted to share this boss fight with friends. HOWEVER, I think Gehrman, The First Hunter's boss music is the best out of any FromSoft game, and I dare say possibly any game. I managed to time the vocals to the music perfectly for Gehrman powering up. It was also a really close call down to one hit left on each of us.

thats not his transformation. here he's using his energy to influence the hunters dream to create an explosion around him, the move is called end of the nightmare, the transformation was as soon as he hit 50% and the aura around him appeared

The ending was so close and thrilling, both you and him being low enough on health to die after 1 more strike, and attacking and dodging each other over and over. One might call this a battle among equals, with one only being the winner because there had to be a winner.

I've somehow never died to Gehrman in all three of my runs, but I think he's a phenomenal boss. I love that his HP pool is decently low for a final boss, but he has the ability to dodge just like you. That's very difficult to implement nicely into a game without making it feel like bullshit, but this fight works really well.

It is Hunter v Hunter, he can parry and dodge like you so if his health was higher you’d be fucked plus they considered the second secret boss so you would have to fight two big bosses back to back

This should have been a permadeath boss fight. You die, and then the cutscene of you waking up in Yharnam. It would help emphasize the sacrifice Gehrman is going through to save you.

Two Hunters who care for one another, fighting to save the other from eternal damnation to the Hunter’s Dream . Just that thought alone makes me believe Bloodborne has a more meaningful connection between the New Hunter and Gehrman than The Ashen One and the Firekeeper from the Dark Souls franchise .

Gehrman fight may not be the hardest of the game, but no doubt it's the most beautiful. The lore of Gehrman, the place for the fight, the music, the symbolism and the meaning behind all of that makes this battle a poem. Once you know what the lyrics of this song say, you understand better what this battle is about and it gets really emotional. Brother, those last minutes of the fight were a thing of beauty.
