As long as they are not used too much at stud. Majority of foals, when grown & trained, don't do well at the track. Who knows where they go from there. The dark side of racing.

Well if it makes you feel any better I have had 8 horses retire in the past 5 years and was able to find very good homes for them, either as equestrian jumpers or just as pleasure or trail riding horses and most importantly in the hands of nice, civilized people. Any dark side of anything has to be associated to dark sided human being types in the first place, and yes, there are people that aren’t capable of taking care of anything around the entire world that have access to things they shouldn’t, such as Horse, Dog ownership, unfit parents etc… It’s just like anything else

no comparison between a dog and horse owner. Horse owners in racing treat their animal as a commodity. Most of these horses break down or sent off for slaughter. A disgusting so called sport. No other sport treats their athletes in this manner.
