From the wiki: Use the Revolutionary to help disadvantaged players participate. If a player has an intellectual disability, is unable to understand the rules of the game, is blind or deaf, or is unable to communicate or participate as normal, they may still play by teaming up with a player that they trust. What a thoughtful way of Ben to allow Jon to participate.

It took me an hour to realize that the 13 player count meant 3 minions to start. I'm so used to 12 player games.

I'm really glad to see the Revolutionary featured! It's the fabled I've used the most (aside from Deus Ex Fiasco, and The Toymaker) - not just for disabled friends, but also for friends where two of them are in the same house, and want to call in through the same computer! - I had to use it in the very first game I ran, and because it's aimed to help disabled players, unlike other fabled it's something that some groups will have to use every single time, and can't wait until the ST becomes experienced before bringing it in, so it's great to see an example of it in use! - It's also really nice that not only is it an accessibility tool, it's also something that just changes the dynamic of the game and adds in its own fun in its own right!

I just got a terrible idea that may be really funny if it ever turned up (or maybe just horrifying in general). So the basic gist is that the Revolutionary pair is a Lunatic/Drunk, where the Lunatic thinks the Drunk is their Marionette. Possibly in a "Poppy Grower" game if that keeps up the charade for longer. I was considering also putting this in a Fang Gu world, but then the Fang Gu would be able to turn two people in one turn so I don't think that's fair. But given that this pair would probably end up playing for Evil anyway in the early game, this isn't really fair anyway.

I made a script aimed around this theme, where each vote/nomination/execution needs to be even more carefully considered, that's a lot of fun ! (and a good lesson for my players who begin to have a lot of games under their belt and are good at world building but still manage to get a bit too "horny for nominations" and vote without thinking of some consequences 😁)

The way adding extra players to the game works is like this: With a seven player game, you have 5 townsfolk, 0 outsiders, 1 minion, and a demon. Every time you add another player, you add an outsider. However, if you *would* add a third outsider, you instead *remove* all outsiders and instead add a minion. This causes a few patterns to emerge. For example, there is always an odd number of Townsfolk (either 5, 7, or 9). The number of outsiders is always 2 if the number of players is divisible by 3; it's always 1 if the player count is one less than being divisible by 3, and it's 0 if it is one more than being divisible by 3.

This was recorded very recently. It's worth keeping in mind that while both myself and Jon appear in some NRB videos, we're friends outside of that and enjoy hanging out with each other for a myriad of reasons. We're also both self-employed and take on a number of jobs outside of NRB. For example, this stream we mentioned a project that Jon set up where folks can come play games with us in a cool castle. That's Jon's gig and has nothing to do with NRB. - Ben

So Richie the Organ Grinder WAS in fact evil and DID in fact have the opportunity to turn Ben evil that early but chose not to. Come on Richie, you're the ACTUAL evil one here and you played a good guy when you could have no consequences made Ben evil. You had the golden fish on your hook and you cast it away to be eaten by another fish. He did eventually turn evil but by then it was obvious

I know I'm late to this, but just want to point out that Ben told him he was the saint, so it relied on a fang gu jumping. There was no fang gu. As soon as Ben outed as goon he got flipped.
